Try for one when I 1st wake up, mid morning, evening, depending on what eaten or drank another before bed

Whilst we are on the subject does anyone use, or know someone who uses, a poop knife to deal with monster turds?
That’s what coat hangers are for!

Remember seeing on a stupid car sticker in late 80's.

"Nothing more over estimated than a bad shag.
Nothing more under estimated than a good shit"

In those moments where you're caught short and think you may actually shit yourself, that almost orgasmic relief once you get finally let go on the can, how true that is!

I went through the whole process from a diagnosis of diverticulosis 25 years ago, to a a colonoscopy (all clear) to self-diagnosed lactose intolerance and imposed diagnosis (by Mrs T) of gluten intolerance.

It is clear I have lactose intolerance which is managed easily (lactose free milk and cheese, and lactase pills when I fancy some proper cheese).

However when I spent 10 days in Brazil last year, I ate any old crap and the guts were fine. 2-3 uncomplicated evacuations a day. My time in Brazil was insanely relaxing. I had some talks to give to students, but I find that an easy job. I was looked after and didn't have to think about anything.

So my assessment now is that anxiety is the main cause of 'liveliness', with a 20% add on from lactose. When I am stressed the guts settle. When I have too much time on my hands and start mithering about trivia, the guts go mad.

It is about the balance between the parasympathetic nervous system (that manages things when you are safe in your warm cave) and the sympathetic (that gets you into fight mode). Fight mode suits my guts. Safe mode is a problem, especially when I want to be safe but my job makes me go up to London. Still..... mind over matter seems to be working now.
Ugh, anxiety totally does it for me and it pisses me off. On a regular day, I might go at least once, maybe twice. But if I'm anxious, even if I don't particularly anxious in my head, my bowels will beg to differ. The f**kers.

Also, when my morning coffee hits my fiber supplement from the night before? Oh boy, you better get out of the way.

Some times I wonder how Family Guy seems to know my life:

I’m an ectomorph that regularly exercises, so 2-3. Usually the equivalent of 1 per main meal.

I’ve asked the doctor about this before and they said it’s perfectly normal for one person to poo every few days and another person on the same food to poo 5 times a day. What you have to watch is if it changes despite no variables changing.

It's 10:20AM here and I've just taken my second dump. I don't think that will be last for the day. I'm deep into marathon training though, so that's not unusual for me.

UPDATE: Up to three now :lolol:

I believe the standard medical response is that anything from 3 times a day to one every 3 days is entirely normal, and being outside of that is something to consider rather than something being wrong.

I keep meaning to make up a double hanger affair to take a bog brush on one side and a breaker upper on the other.
I'm generally a two to three a day man but should I miss my ploportunity the next is often a bend blocker.
My son has been leaving grizzlies in the pan to beat away since he was 5. While he has got better at appropriately responding to poo fear his increase in size has meant I'm pushing his leavings round the corner at least twice a week rather than once.
