Wouldn't have wanted to be following her in the bog after that!I used to have a flatmate who was so anxious about pooing they were completely unable to ever do it anywhere than the home bog. Couldn’t ever go at work, let alone anywhere else. Bunch of us went to Corfu for a week and she didn’t go once - had to wait until back at home. Bizarre.
It's nice to have you with us. Did all this going on drive you forward or did you decide to take things easy to enjoy life more?I had my colon removed 14 years ago due to Ulcerative Colitis. After a while living with a stoma I was "replumbed" but without a colon food passes through me v quickly, sometimes in a couple of hours. I'll have a bowel movement at least 6 times a day, on a bad day it can be double that. I'll take up to 6 loperamide a day to slow things down and also use a fibre supplement which has the same effect. It can be a pain, but if my colon had stayed I'd have been dead for the last 14 years so overall it's ok!
Thank you! I pressed on with my career until 6 years ago I took early retirement. I've since been diagnosed with two related conditions, PSC (as was Kieron Dyer) and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. But I'm good, off to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos tomorrow so mustn't grumble. It's nice to have you with us. Years ago, my (now) wife and I got pulled by customs at Gatwick coming back from a weekend in Amsterdam. I had a copy of the Bristol stool chart in my hand luggage (a mate had posted it to me to settle an argument), and had a difficult time justifying it. I was spluttering 'its real research you, you know'. I almost did a number 7.
Making stools?True story, I used to work in a furniture factory years ago.
That’s me too more or less - lucky enough never to have had any particular problem in that respect.Usually once but occasionally a couple and occasionally skip a day. Usually balances out though.
My daughter, who is a doctor, gave me a t-shirt with the Bristol stool chart on it once As a birthday present.Years ago, my (now) wife and I got pulled by customs at Gatwick coming back from a weekend in Amsterdam.
