I can be once or twice a day or five times in an hour. No pattern. Legacy of bowel cancer and what I eat. Take pills to try and ' slow things down ' but accidents happen quite regularly. Doctors tried to persuade me to go to a bag permanently but I thought...nah....I'll put up with a few soiled pants. Small price to pay.

Exiled from the South Country
I'm daily, get up, shit, shower, get on with my day.

My 10 year old son (who seems very healthy but takes after his mother in this regard) poos once a week and its a monster.

Its like King Kong's finger and always blocks up the loo. So I have to deal with it.

I've asked him to try to go more often but mother doesnt want him to force it out and collapse his anus.

Equally I don't want to have to wrestle with it when I get in from work.
Back when I was young free and single in the mid 80s I shared a flat in south London with a couple of mates, 1 another Brighton fan. He was a once a week man and used to disappear off with the paper to the loo when his time of the week came. He would be in there for ages but, to his credit, always made sure the considerable amount of cable he presumably laid was all on its way to the sewage treatment works before it emerged.

Shame about the smell though......

Wake up at 0630, make a cup of tea, grab ipad on the way to loo. Half hour on the loo, shower, dress for the day, every day the same without fail, no matter what I am doing.

A little disappointed not to see a "No f***ing idea" option on the pole, for those of us with, er, bags.

Going by the queues for the cubicle in the WSU toilets, just being at the Amex seems to trigger it for quite a few people. I mean what else could they be doing in there, I wonder. Hmm.

Still in Brighton
Couple of times a day. Dairy really slows all digestion down so avoid that if you don't go often. Too much angst around intolerances. These are v different to allergies (which can be dangerous and means avoidance). You can eat anything you are intolerant to, you just have to find the level of intolerance (sometimes after a period of abstinence first). Someone who is intolerant to dairy can still have dairy you just have to spend some time finding how much dairy you can tolerate (it could be a tiny amount is fine). It took me years to realise this.

Would recommend the Blue Muffin test. Buy cheap bright blue food dye and add it to a homemade muffin and time how long it takes to make it to the toilet bowl. Will show how slow or fast your digestive system is. Despite regular bowl movements I was amazed how long it took to appear in the bowl. This is how i discovered that dairy really slows my systme down (as does too much meat). I added more fibre but remember if you add more fibre you must, must, must drink more aswell.
