How did Gammon and Eggs play?

McCammon is not half as good as Iwelumo.

McCammon is not capable of goals like the one Iwelumo scored against Chesterfield and at least Iwelumo could control the ball and shoot.

He also won more headers.

Just because Mark McGhee thinks he is good does not mean he is.

Why did McGhee not get the best out of him when he was Millwall manager?

Back to Mcgammon, I actually thought he was quite good on sat., considering he is a target man, his tracking back was good, as was his application. He made 2 or 3 errors, but then so did a lot of others. The trouble is he is under the microscope, as we are looking to bring him in.

I remember at Coventry 2 seasons ago, many people chanting for Graham Barrett to sign on with us, thankfully he didn't, but my point is, I think with match practice he will improve a lot.

The goal that Iwelumo scored at Chesterfield was greatly helped by the strong wind that night. He was as surprised as anybody.

Likewise McCammon's pitiful effort against Watford was helped by the icy conditions but he still could not make the goal from 6 foot out.

(In the first half attacking the goal to the left of the south stand)

McGhee said he did but then he got injured - it was in one of the match programmes. I know some Millwall fans didn't rate Big Mac, like your mate with the funny name, but then many Millwall fans didn't rate McGhee's tactical acumen either.

You've got to shoot in the first place to take advantage of wind! Has McCammon had a shot yet?

Well, he would have got the winner against the Gills but for an unbelievable save by their keeper. Unperturbed, Big Mac then set up the winner.

Important goal that, don't you agree?

I think you are perhaps ignoring the fact that McCammon somehow managed to miss a header from two feet out despite the fact that heading is meant to be what he is good at.

He should have given the goalie NO CHANCE.

Bit like Leon against Derby (eight foot out) and Stoke (two foot out) you mean? ;) Both games from which we never recovered from suffering blatant misses.

If you are looking for faults you will find them with any player at this level, particularly those who are prepared to accept the wages we can offer.

If any of these named players were more consistent they wouldn't be playing in the Championship.

I have only read about McCammon on here, Saturday is the first time I have ever seen him play. He does look very donkey-esque and with him and Deano on the pitch we'd have a fine pair of carthorses.

Deano is just not any good, McCammon looks like he could be good. There were a couple of occassions in the first half when he was in or around the box and if he'd hit the ball first time instead of holding back he might have found the back of the net, I thought he looked a little shy of confidence on Saturday.

I have head that Ronaldo wants to play in an Athletics track for £800 a week, so let's take him instead of McCammon!

I know all about our money restrictions but we COULD do better then McCammon.

Such as.......?

You need 1.someone who fits the role that McGhee wants

2. Someone willing to accept our wages (as rejected by Iwelumo)

3. Someone who wants to play in a shithole every fortnight.

Name names Richie!

I just do not understand how people have such low expectations of what sort of players we should be getting or what sort of football we should be playing.

They hide behind arguments like 'Mark McGhee agrees so I must be right' or 'we cannot afford better' or 'he runs about a lot and wins some headers'.

This is CHAMPIONSHIP football for christs sake.

Every single player in this league should be capable of:

a)controlling a ball
b)winning headers
c)running with the ball
d)shooting.
e) putting a lot of effort in.

If they cannot do these then they should not be playing professional football so to defend a player by saying he is capable of a couple of these is ridiculous.

There are better forwards playing non league football in the south east who would jump at the chance to play for a league side.

McCammon did nothing at Millwall under Mark McGhee. He will do nothing here other then waste energy chasing lost causes and running the ball out for goal kicks.

He has not one single creative bone in his body and he cannot shoot.

He is an embarrasment to professional football.

You can say the same about half a dozen in our squad then RIchie. We are a team of scrappers. I would love to have a better striker (such as Luke Beckett) but we cannot afford him, or even Trevor Benjamin. Hence they go to clubs in lower divisions for more money.
