Rapidly losing condition by the minute, my time may be rather unimpressive :lolol:

Do what I do. Wear a cap and just look at the path in front of you as you run round the southern end of the park. I've now run 25 times and have yet to stare the retail park in the face.

I appreciate the tip but I'm going to face it head on I think.

Shit, I'm drinking champagne and eating shortcake :

I chose a different route Edna, red wine, curry and more red wine due to an enjoyable england game. Im not in the zone at the moment.........but give me a few hours sleep....and I will be in the zone, grumpy zone.

Good luck all in the morning.

That was fun. I clocked 22.28 on my watch. I'm going to aim to get this down to sub-20 over the coming months. Frau Tubthumper ran her first 5k as well.

Saw the Goldstone for the first time since the Donny game in '97. Boooo, but we have Falmer now.

And on the way back I stopped off for a tea and a bacon sandwich at that place near railway station footbridge. I'm now reading the paper and listening to Grizzly Bear. What a wonderful day.

Do any other albion fans run the hove park 5k runs? they are 9am every saturday morning, saw a couple of albion shirts last saturday:albion1::albion2:

Thanks to Rev for posting this. Blinding morning. Great atmosphere, really buzzing & friendly, great for all standards. Not sure of my time as I totally forgot to stop my watch, think it was about 21.30 but will have to wait for the results. Time for a cup of tea, NSC & the paper.

Did my first run this saturday just gone did it in; 21:52, popping out in a minute to do a mid-week trial for the weekend. Hoping to get my time below 21 mins.

Good to meet you this morning, good running good luck in getting below 21 mins.

Well done Herr & Frau T. Like you Herr I was nervous of going back for only the second time since Donny but the world is a far better place now with Falmer on the horizon and for me I think a corner was turned. I could stand in Hove Park and look at where the Goldstone was and smile inwardly (and out) and enjoy the memories.

This. to the volunteers, big thanks.

I am looking forward to my first one next week. Good time that HT

Good luck Wilko.

I'll be back in a couple of weeks for sure. Get those albion tops out there!

Good time, good music. Veckatimest, Yellow House or Friend?

Christ, I'm unfit! Think I did around 28 mins? Didn't have my watch as it wasn't charged which shows how much running I've done since the marathon! Put on about a stone since then as well.

Ah well, onwards and upwards.

Veckatimest. Brilliant album, especially for sunny days like today.
