Yes, go along, its great fun, no pressure, and everyone goes to the coffee shop in the park after.

The only problem is the reminder of what used to be over the road from Hove Park :(

I'm a regular and noticed the 2 Albion tops - they seemed to know eachother. Would recommend to anyone, it really is all inclusive. Have a look at the Website and see the times range from 15 - 40 plus minutes so it really isn't an athletes only need bother event. Free to enter and they'll log all your times on the website.

Not yet, but Parkrun is the absolute bomb shizzle, you'll love it mate. You could get the 5 or jog there for a warm-up/jog or walk back for your warm-down.

The online grading system they use is really good as well, lets you see where you are for your age group and set targets.

Did someone really take 40+ minutes to do it? Bet it was a hippy with a pram. 20 is do-able for anyone reasonably fit...

I see the History Man is one of the runners you will be chasing at 22.52. One of the volunteers is Chris Carter, could this be the best Brighton runner of my generation. ( before Steve Ovett ) Also an ex Copper Edna, something to aspire too.

Cheers mate, I would like to think I will do it in under 30 at least! Will have a trial run at the gym tomorrow to time myself as I have no idea how long it takes me to do 5k.

What is the course like for hills or is it fairly flat?

You're all skinny and beautiful though, right? If you're not carrying extra weight you should get round in 25 max...I do 23 and I've usually had a skinful and a load of fags the night before.

Course starts at the cafe behind the tennis courts, round opposite that retail park, steady climb to the other end of the park - steepest bit is the second half of this, it's a good test but it's not hard - then easy slope down at the back of the park and back to the start point. Makes it easy for a sprint finish.

hove park has its ups and downs, you start where the old rugby pavillion was run south past the goldstones and behind the tennis courts the follow the path back north past the kids playground the cut down the middle of hove park down the old drove way then swing back round to where you started, then you do two complete laps right round to the north end, under 30 would be fine, just hoping to get round as my health not what it should be:sick:
