Does anyone know if there is anymore more dough for further additions to the squad or is that the final piece of the jigsaw?

What's the point of giving a trial to Folks & Green then if we're offering Kerry another year? or has MA seen enough of them already

The Manager knows best

An opinion of some posters. I can't disagree with that.

But Dean Wilkins was the manager and he released them, after seeing them day in day out since they have been with the club. Maybe the argument could be used there also!

It's a shame they had that idiotic clause last season where we HAD to give them a one year contract based on appearances which they just scraped through.

Still they are ours again now. Adams may/may not regret his decision. We shall see.

What a joke.

Yet another backward step.

What is the point of signing someone unless they are actively going to push and compete for a first team place?

Signing two old players who are conference standard at best just to sit on the bench is pointless.

Its obvious why MA has signed them both, it gives us something else to talk about in 12 months time :)

And saying the manager knows best is a STUPID argument.

Dean Wilkins was the manager - worked with them every day for two seasons and decided to release him. Did he, as the manager at the time, know best?

If so how can they BOTH know best?

I think possibly the pro Adams/Knight/Mayo/Hart brigade use this argument when they run out of one themselves...

Neither Hart nor Mayo will get anywhere near pushing for a starting place.

I would rather have re-signed Sonny Cobbs or Sam Rents than Mayo and Paul Reid over Gary Hart.

For me to eat my words both of them would have to win and keep their place in the team for most of the season. That simply won't happen in a million years.

Good servants yes but loyalty is quite easy when no bigger clubs ever come in for you..

Its hardly Matt Le Tissier shunning top clubs to stay at Southampton is it?
