Adams has taken time to consider these options, he is the manager he has made the decision , I have no reason not to trust his judgment....

I am sure they dont consider themselves regular players, just members of a strong squad ------- quality.

Quality? Hart & Mayo? Cheap more like it. I'd rather have kept Butters and Reid.

Dixon will still be adjusting to the regimen of a new club and full time football. He needs a pre-season under his belt and some more experience. To write him off as pants is ridiculous. Besides, reserve football is not always the best place to judge players properly, as with pre-season.
Dixon started out at Wycombe, full time. Then went to Aldershot, also full time. And came here, full time. And he's been here 6 months.

Hart filled in at right back. Now though we have Virgo, Whing and El Abd who can play there. Dosn't that remove the need for Hart as backup?

Right midfield we have Cox, Robinson, Fraser - even Chamberlain and Dixon could probably fill in for one game there.

Up front? Murray, Forster, Gatting, Gardan, Robinson, Dixon, Virgo ALL above Hart.

So where do we need him as back-up for?

Gardan? Who he? Have we signed a new player this evening?

Joking aside, I think Micky sees Virgs as a centre-half and Robinson as a wide player.

I for one can't wait until Harty smashes one in and everyone starts claiming it was an inspired move by MA! As for Kerry, most of you writing him off obviously didn't see many games in the second half of last season. Outstanding at Oldham, and he maintained that level through to the end of the season. It's sad to read some of the comments being made on here about two guys who have played close to 800 games for the Albion.

Hart and Mayo have been loyal servants to the club over the years but if we are to be in with a chance of promotion this season these are not the sort of signings we should be making, even as squad players. Sentamentaility and professionalism don't necessarily go together. I'll give it three games before Kerry gives away a penalty although I hope I'm proved wrong.

Even if some people don't believe Hart or Mayo are up too it whats the harm in keeping them in the squad. Can't believe all of this backward step shit I'm reading. Anyone who saw Mayo playing last season will know he play a decent game.

Virgo dosen't want to play there so no heart in it. Gatting looks ok in pre season but not the competitive league games. Dixon is pants!!! saw him in a couple of reserve matches last season and there are no words to describe it!!!!
Gargan i think in a seasons time will be ready

Not sure Virgo can dictate where he wants to play, when he plays it will be where the manager tells him.

Steward433...

You have praised Hart for being versatile and then said Virgo won't play upfront because he does not want to. Surely he should be happy to play where he is told to?
