2 games is ridiculous, but I do think the next 6 will determine his future.

Lose all 6 and it's 19 points from 19 games - relegation stats.

Win all 6 and it's 37 from 19, pretty much promotion stats.

He needs to get closer to the latter I would think.

With one of, if not the fewest shots in the Championship ? I think not. The Blackpool vs Brighton game did have a team that looked like one of the most attacking teams in the division though

I don't understand where the myth comes from. Someone seems to have said we don't shoot and everyone is believing it! Bizarre.

After a few games (possibly as late as the birmingham game post match discussion) we were averaging more per game or almost the same as the average for the most shots per game last season, but our last couple of matches have brought our average down.

We're now averaging 11.92 shots (5.46 on target)
Last season we were 8.28 shots (3.93 on target)

Last season our current stats would have us
2nd on shots (behind burnley on 12.35 and ahead of middlesbrough on 11.91)
5th on shots on target (behind Ipswich 5.87, Middlesbrough 5.76, Hull 5.74, Burnley 5.65, Peterborough 5.61)

we were 23rd on both last season.

Gus has quite a lot to prove before a realistic Chairman would be wise to offer him a 'bigger job'.

The Venkys are a fickle bunch. I reckon they just look at the last 5 league games, see who's won the most and appoint them as manager. Gus would be well down of their list.

Not sure any bigger team would want Gus at the moment as he seems unable to change tactics to pull back a 1-0 deficit. Once he learns that a plan b will be needed in the majority of games and can implement it bigger teams will then become more interested

Surely pretty much everyone on here realises Poyet and Bloom is a long term project? Gus is just three years in....remember Man Utd fans wanted rid of Fergie after about four years. It takes a LONG time to create the right conditions for success, and the TB/GP journey has only just begun. We're making steady progress, and Gus is going nowhere!
