Surely pretty much everyone on here realises Poyet and Bloom is a long term project? Gus is just three years in....remember Man Utd fans wanted rid of Fergie after about four years. It takes a LONG time to create the right conditions for success, and the TB/GP journey has only just begun. We're making steady progress, and Gus is going nowhere!

This is far too much of a sensible post for NSC!

Why do you think he left Spurs ? The chairman had finally sussed out his style , which in the short term was good for them but not long term

Because Daniel Levy has a hard on for the european style of management where you get a puppet like AVB and a director of footy buys the players for him to play with. Harry wanted to identify the players he wanted and that did not suit Levy. Levy wanted this before and it backfired big time with Juande Ramos so he turned to a proper manager to get him out of it and that is just what Harry did, getting to 4th in the league twice and spending f*** all in the last 4 windows despite reputation as a spendthrift.

Not a lot surprises me in football these days. But I would be amazed if Blackburn wanted Poyet. I'd be even more amazed if he went there. Anyone who takes that job has got to be stark raving mad....Apart from wanting the wage packet of course, I'd be very surprised if a manager currently employed by any championship club, went to Blackburn. It will be someone out of work or a coach somewhere else. I though Tim Sherwood was linked with it???

Posh end of Shoreham
Harry redknapp has dismissed being the Blackburn manager but says there's only so much golf one can play and is itching to get back into football
The way it's going at QPR I can see him going there soon

Hmmm,'Gus is going nowhere'.
Probably not.Surely one question that any chairman would ask himself is,why hasn't this guy been able to turn a game around once his team have gone 1-nil down?
Well,it is certainly a question I would ask myself anyway!

Looks like Gus is still here for now!

Going for Henning Berg by the looks of things:

BBC Sport - Blackburn Rovers: Henning Berg set to be named manager

Former Blackburn defender Henning Berg is set to sign a three-year deal to become the club's new manager.

The imminent arrival of the 43-year-old, who has six years of managerial experience in his native Norway, ends the search for Steve Kean's successor.

Berg, who is expected to be unveiled on Thursday, will take charge with Blackburn fifth in the Championship.

He played almost 300 games in two spells with Rovers and won the Premier League title with the club in 1995.

Anyway, there was a rumour in these parts last week that if Saints lost on Sunday against tottenham, Adkins would get the sack and 'Arry would be coming to Saints.

The first one of those three happened, but the other two don't seem to have followed on - what a surprise.

But the majority of saints fans wouldn't want him back anyway, seeing as it was him who messed it all up in the first place - or at lest got them relegated.

If he's read any of the utter shite and drivel on here for the past couple weeks, I wouldn't blame him.

I would. It would say a lot about Poyet (and nothing positive) if he left because of what was written on NSC.

Berg. Wow! That really is an exciting appointment!

And what a surprise that our Gus is not top of their shopping list! :)

This is the Henning Berg that said the other day he'd like to see a new rule where you can bring on a 12th player if you're losing 4-0. Not only is it a shit idea as teams would start preferring to go 4-0 down instead of 3-0, but Arsenal showed last night it can be done with 11.

Norwegian FA proposes 12th player idea to even out one-sided matches | Football | guardian.co.uk

As "The Fiver" today points out, he also said:

7 May: "To take over as a manager in a club with owners like that is madness. There are no real managers with credibility who would accept a job like that. You might end up shooting yourself in the foot" – former Blackeye Rovers defender Henning Berg offers his verdict on the Ewood Park hot seat.
