He didn't make Hotspurs bankrupt and our Tony isn't an idiot. At least we'd have ATTACKING football and not boring defensive dross eaking out draws, 1 nil losses and the occassional 1 nil win.

Why do you think he left Spurs ? The chairman had finally sussed out his style , which in the short term was good for them but not long term

Very disrespectful Imo, there were many better teams than us and we got promoted with a average to good team. We are still improving the squad. Don't fall yourself to think gus isn't a good coach/manager, just because of winless run and others wouldn't take a gamble. Wolves wanted last season.

This also isn't anything to do with the current run of form or anything else to that extent, which is something I DO hold Poyet responsible for. However, my post and what I said was based on cold hard facts.

I keep hearing people suggest on here that such and such Premier League or ex-Premier League club are interested in taking Poyet as their manager, but I fail to see why.

As supporters, we see how the team plays on a week by week basis and there is always that worry that a good manager from our perspective will leave for the bright lights of the Premier league or even a team more likely to be promoted to the Premier League. However, I and many others who I speak to do not feel that Gus has achieved anywhere near enough to be good enough to take on a team in the best league in the world without getting one promoted.

However I agree with the second part, Blackburn can spend £8m on Jordan Rhodes, that's one reason why Gus (or almost any manager at this level) would consider going there.

Gus has quite a lot to prove before a realistic Chairman would be wise to offer him a 'bigger job'.
