I would be happy if we went up and would be happy if we were fighting for the play offs but didn't go up. That shows progress, it means we are winning more than we are losing and have time to blood more younsters and develop more players like savage and revell. We are a work in progress.

I know about 10 fans personally and 4 of them who went regularly in 2005/2007 haven't this year, not because of the football or the division but because of the prices. Perhaps if they were a bit lower we may get more people in regularly, wouldn't have to do so many discounts, would make more money overall, would attract more fans and would make more money on things such as merchandise and catering.

I think we have now reached a level or certainly will next season of our hardcore support, that go come wind, rain or shine. If that is around 5,000, then it bodes well for the future. We can easily build on that if we put together a decent run for the playoffs.

I agree about the prices and it may have to be a case of absorbing greater losses, if/when we get a Yes from Ruth Kelly.

Look... Dick seems to have belatedly seen the light and now realises you cannot get away with too low an investment in the playing budget... he finally realises that new and better players mean more interest from wavering punters, more chances of success and, hence even more interest from part-time fans... or, alternatively, he is just trying to sell more season tickets... I like to believe the former... mad fool!... :)

I'm not really sure what that is a response to.

The thing I will say is all this talk of investment by certain fans yet they haven't explained where this investment will come from given the last years 2.2m loss.
