But then he would be on loan and the official site seems to be me to be saying that is not the case.

Buying someones contract for a season and having them on loan are different things I believe. I remember reading something on TLO about it. I might be wrong though

Should have pulled out all the stops to get Cureton here 2 or 3 years ago. He is mustard.

I do not for a minute think the club have broken them. As I see it Bertin is our player as he is not on loan from Le Havre and come the summer he will be a free agent able to negoiate a deal at where ever he decides.

Thats how I see it.

Why do you follow Tottenham? They're not going to win the Prem but you still bother.

Yorkie - you are missing the point here... people like us will go whatever happens... however, the butterflies will fly away, unless we look like we are at least threatenning the play-off places... that is why we are having to offer discount after discount to get even half-decent attendances at present... wake up!!!!... investment in the squad IS needed...

He said there was a healthy playing budget. Not quite the same thing as having money to buy in the sort of player that people say we need.
Players in the Championship are on 8k to 10k a week. We can't compete with that.
So, if we go up and then come straight back down again does Wilkins get the sack?
I want to be in the top half and competitive next season which makes games exciting but unless we have a big cash injection then I don't want to be languishing around at the bottom of the Championship again.

I would rather go up and back down again... better still, survive in the CCC as we did last time round, than languish in mid-table in L1 for season after season... we have LOST a lot of money getting relegated... we will MAKE a lot of money if we get promoted...

PS. You are wrong about Dick... he clearly said we will invest to go for promo...

And the rest..Clinton Morrison is on over 20 grand a week.

And how much are the Colchester players on? Not that kind of money... which just goes to show it CAN be done...
