Da Man Clay said:Only for this season it would seem.
Uncle Buck said:But then he would be on loan and the official site seems to be me to be saying that is not the case.
Da Man Clay said:Buying someones contract for a season and having them on loan are different things I believe. I remember reading something on TLO about it. I might be wrong though

It says we have taken over his contract, but doesn't mention anything about him having another year at Le Havre. Hmmm... Where is insider when you need him.
Uncle Buck said:If we have taken over his contract, how can he have a contract with Le Havre as well?
That would be against FA rules.
Kinky Gerbils said:FA rules appear to mean not a lot.
Uncle Buck said:I do not for a minute think the club have broken them. As I see it Bertin is our player as he is not on loan from Le Havre and come the summer he will be a free agent able to negoiate a deal at where ever he decides.

Yorkie said:Why do you follow Tottenham? They're not going to win the Prem but you still bother.
Yorkie said:He said there was a healthy playing budget. Not quite the same thing as having money to buy in the sort of player that people say we need.
Players in the Championship are on 8k to 10k a week. We can't compete with that.
So, if we go up and then come straight back down again does Wilkins get the sack?
I want to be in the top half and competitive next season which makes games exciting but unless we have a big cash injection then I don't want to be languishing around at the bottom of the Championship again.
