Oh well, I hope all those that voted in favour are happy when their kids/grand kids get married to someone of their own sex, and they end up without grandchildren or great-grandchildren. Having said that, I am not sure too many are in straight relationships to have kids anyway.

Anyone who believes in equal rights for homosexuals must be homosexuals themselves?

I say line, it's more of a daisy chain. You really don't want to see our coat of arms. Let's just say Lube Rampant with handcuffs diagonal.

The gift of marriage brings husband and wife together
in the delight and tenderness of sexual union
and joyful commitment to the end of their lives.

It is given as the foundation of family life
in which children are [born and] nurtured
and in which each member of the family,in good times and in bad,
may find strength, companionship and comfort,
and grow to maturity in love.

So I guess this would have to be rewritten. Somebody will be busy.

Being as my brother and his wife got married in a registry office and have and intend to have no children. I suppose it should have been rewritten a long time ago.

I think you may have be labouring under a misapprehension here.

Should this be passed into law, it doesn't actually make it compulsory to enter into a homosexual relationship or marriage.

I think that's what PP is ultimately worried about

No, but it goes a long way to suggesting it is an acceptable alternative to normal life.

That was kinda my point. To me personally there is a difference to someone saying "I'm going to meet my husband/wife at the shops" to "I'm going to meet my partner at the shops". If as you say it's about equality and they were that hell bent on ensuring they got it you'd assume they'd say the former?

And they may well do in most cases. But it doesn't change the fact that society and the law views it as something other than a marriage (until now). We live in a label obsessed society, the distinction between "civil partnership" and "marriage" is therefore important to a lot of people and I can see no reason to maintain it.

But they will have grandkids( not natural one's granted) because you just know, next on the list will be adoption or a list a surrogate slapper's looking to earn a few quid, by impregnating themselves....I see Elton and David have just had a second child...Isn't it lovely.

To be honest? No, it is sick!

Any chance you could define 'normal' for us?
