That would have been some achievement bearing in mind he was still recovering from his shoulder injury when we played those 2 games against Palace.

:lolol:

I couldn't remember if he was injured or had been dropped.

People pay a lot of money to go and watch the albion if they want to boo that is a right they have....if they are not happy with a players performance after paying £75 for his family to go and watch us and someone is on 6k a month plays like a cu*t then Imho Let him boo.

Kuipers is number 1....saying no more..it is getting boring now..no offence to anyone..

Yes he is because Flinders isn't Brighton's player, but if he was would you still want Kuipers as your number one?

It is true.

Roberts was by far the better keeper and yet there was calls for him to be dropped.

Only around Christmas time in 2003 when he was attempting to dribble the ball around players and giving away penalties or goals.

Once he cut that out and actually equalled the record for the number of clean sheets in a row there were no calls for him to be dropped.

Nothing like clouding history.

Wanted to stay so handed a transfer request?
how does that work?

anyway this is boring(no offence to you)

You know there was more to that, however ignoring the factors helps your hole digging.

Kuipers was wrong in the way he reacted, but there were a number of disruptive factors around that time and he was caught up in that.

However at the same time, once Henderson had signed it looked likely he was going to be number 3, so what was the point of being here and not even getting a game for the stiffs. Far better to get match fit on loan.

Also he did apologise for his actions and knuckled down and fought for his place. Henderson got dropped twice and asked for a transfer twice.

Im not sure mate ive not seen enough of flinders to make my mind up..put it this way when I used to hear Henderson's name ahead of kuipers it didnt fill me with confidence.

Im happy when kuipers starts..his shot stopping and making himself big is great..he's very vocal and gives his all..he has his faults like all goalie but at the moment he's done nothing wrong recently accept getting injured so kuipers is still my number 1...I just get the impression wilkins is not all that fussed with Kuipers....

If flinders did sign then im sure he's play ever week...kuipers has got used to playing second fiddle but he always comes back after a long time on the bench and plays like a hero...thats why I love the guy he always gives 100% and is a true albion fan aswell as a good goalie imho

No there were not.

Anyway he then got injured in pre-season and never played for the club again.

At the beginning of the following season, until he did his back at the friendly at Cambridge, it was accepted that he would start as number 1 and rightly so.

Yes there was.

He looked dodge in final and semi according to some - who still couldnt get around the fact punching can work.

He fell out with Mcghee, fair enough why tho? because he was dropped.

To be honest fella there is no chance of you getting Flinders as i genuinely believe he will be our first choice 'keeper next season as Kiraly will be shown the door. And if you are right what you say about Kuipers then you won't need him anyway.

Im sorry but there was.

Semi final people said they wanted him dropped/didnt like him and was at fault for the fisrt goal.

Well this is something I cannot recall and will take with a pinch of salt as I know very well your views on Kuipers.

For the record on this thread, whilst Flinders is here and playing like he has on the last 2 Saturdays he should retain the shirt. However I would not renew his loan spell once we are safe as Martin and Sullivan should be give some games.
