Henderson was right about the "x factor" comment wasn't he, no matter who comes here regardless if its Petr Chech, or anyone else they will always be hated by a section of fans just because they aren't Kuipers.

It is true.

Roberts was by far the better keeper and yet there was calls for him to be dropped.

Which is a fair point, but a section of fans think he is some sort of god who should never be dropped and are willing to abuse anyone who isn't him.

He's not some sort of god...Just a very good shot stopper and great presence..and I can imagine a great guy in the dressing room..he's albion through and through and is far from finished at this club...

Brighton through and through and yet demanded a transfer last season? Intresting way to show support to the team. The sad thing is is that we will miss out on class goalkeepers because he is here. Henderson with a bit of support may have been brilliant, sadly we will never find out.

Booing, jeering anyone thats not Kuipers.

Singing his name?

If someone wants to boo henderson for incompetence thats their own affair....if people feel this is unfair within their own thought process then so be it..thats why were all different is there really a right or wrong answer...this doesnt need to slip into a pro hendo thread, the guy performed poorly for us and then handed 2 transfer requests and slated the fans....so glad he's gone.

A class goalkeeper...how many mistakes does that guy in albion shirt or ireland shirt need to make before realising that he's no more than an ordinary goalie.

Kuipers handed in transfer request, so you upset he is still at club?

Im not turning this into a pro - anti hendo thread - he is gone.

Just makes me laugh at the double standards that some have.

No huipers was getting forced out of the club....he never wanted to leave..I actually discussed it with the guy in great detail in a bar in brighton for about 20 mins.

Kuipers is a true gent, great goalie imho...big wages yes but thats not a good enough reason to oust him from the club...Flinders is a good goalie I just think Kuipers is better...But hey its just my opinion

I'm not saying he was a class goalkeeper, he performed quite poorly for us just before he left and to be honest I cant blame him for maybe not making as much effort. However he is the past and its not worth debating it again. People in the football world talk and if a we were close to signing a half decent goalkeeper im sure someone would let him know about the situation with Kuipers.

Well if hendo had performed well for us..no1 would have had chance to questio his place in the team...not even wilkins wanted to drop Hendo imho but it got to a point where his effort and ability were in question...he looked poor game after game and I must admit im no FDM worshipper..but I cant say ive ever seen dodgy display game after game from kuipers.

The guy came back into the team and immidiately stopped conceeding

Booing players is really going to help them isn't it - that is so short-sighted it's alomost unbelievable. If you get behind the team and players it visibly raises their game, makes them feel better.

Forget all this crap about, 'they're professionals, so should be able to cope with it'. That's complete crap. They're also just normal people like you and me. Just because they happen to excel at a particular sport doesn't mean thet they sudddenly have the wonderful ability to ignore abuse FFS. Getting abuse from opposition fans is OK, and some even thrive on it as it makes them feel as though they are doing a good job to warrant the abuse. Getting abuse from your own fans can be nothing be detrimental to your game.

What about the incompetence that Kuipers 'Toblerone Boots' has shown? There was the game a few weeks back where he clearance got charged down but luckily it bounced safe, and in the same game where he slipped over in the 6 yeard box but again was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to recover the situation. If that had been Henderson, he would have been absolutely slated for it.

You know as well If Hendo at been beaten at the near post like Kuipers was in the Forest match all hell would have broken lose.

Or people putting clubs interest before previous clubs.

I bet Palace would be well gutted if Zamora's goals got them to the Premiership.

Personally i couldn't give a toss who players have played for previously, its what they do now that interests me. f*** me Palace have got 3 ex Millwall players playing for us at the moment and Palace fans despise Millwall, but they have never been given grief for who they played for before. We prefer to boo our home grown players like Watson!!

 :D
