My immediate reaction to this was anger.

Reading this thread, if we have got another competent keeper in, and Kuipers is ONLY away to get match fit AND we have instant recall then I am ok with it.

However, if Roberts gets injured or sent off during a game we are buggered.

I am temoted to go round to Kuipers house tonight and barracade him in.

If he is allowed to leave this club I am going on strike.

For all we know this new keeper may be like Packham.

Either way he is untested.

I think we need cover. When was the last time our keeper was injured or sent off? Cant remember. So it may happen soon.

I would rather have had Beasant on the bench than some kid.

Send the kid to Hull.

How do you know Kuipers didn't want to go? Taylors come in for him, he thinks unless Roberts gets injured I wont get a look in, alright I'll go up for a month. Weve got instant recall and a cover for match games, club saves a bit of money, its a no lose situation. Imo Roberts is a marginally better keeper mainly due to his distribution which was always FDM's weakest part of his game.

The money we will save on him-if any-will be minimal.

We are going to have to pay a young Premiership players wages.

The worst that can happen is we lose one game as a result of it. Coppell's taking a gamble I suppose although IMO its a very good idea.

Chill out guys. Hull won't want to sign Kuipers 'cos they've already got a very good keeper in Alan Fettis.

The FDM will no doubt grab the bull by the horns like the true pro he is and come back ready to challenge for a place in the first team. We will see him between the sticks again, as he is a better shot-stopper than Roberts, and the kicking isn't an issue 'cos Roberts' isn't any better!!!

I really like the FDM and was very surprsied initially that he was loaned out.

But having read the article by the Albion’s own ‘Alaistair Campbell’ – Ferret, I feel a little more reassured now.
