:clap2: The fact that its a small end should help to create atmosphere, just need the club to price up the seats so that 14-17 year olds can get in cheap!!! :clap2:catch them early and they will be a fan for life! Dont stick them in a family stand with winging toddlers, that could put you off for life.

sitting next to you would put me off for life !

The north stand needs to be unreserved seating to generate the best possible atmosphere. Buy a general entry ticket, sit where you like with your mates. Kind of like the way the north stand at the Goldstone worked. That will make a huge difference.

It is as simple as that. I don't see why it can't be done.

Very good idea. That way you can have a season ticket or a pay on the day ticket but still sit where you want. Worth emailing Mr Bloom about our proposal?

Exactly, easy. If you want a season ticket fine, your season ticket will do the same as a matchday ticket, just lets you sit where you want.

Our away games are always class when we get a stand that is just a free for all.

The North Stand capacity would be reduced by 15% if it is free seating so you'll need to be prepared to pay more in the ticket price (approx £4) to cover the "shortfall".

Thing is to go unallocated they need to cut the capacity by 15% of the actual seats held which I dont think the club want to do.

On NSC for over two decades...
Its threads like these that remind me exactly how long we have been away from the Goldstone. The North Stand was the home end there, its spirit has been on tour since '97 and people seem to have forgotten in those thirteen years that it was ever actually attached to our home ground, its about time it came home.

Stewarding requirements I think. It has come up several times before on ATC and/or ATFPT and has been answered thus by either Paul C or Martin P (as again above).

Bummer. Looks like thats the end of that then. Real shame, it really makes a difference in my experience.

Bum, I did not know that. Anyway, in quite a small stand if everyone knows it is going to be a bit lively then people will knwo what they are purchasing a ticket for. I am sure that there will be other parts of the ground that will carry on the vibe anyway :)

Yea, hopefully being quite small will help make it a decent home end like the old north stand. Bring it on...

Why are there so many pessimists who are already saying there'll be no atmosphere at Falmer? The stadium is designed for the noise to be kept inside the stadium-that alone will generate some atmosphere. A team playing decent football (and winning most home games) will naturally generate atmosphere as Withdean has proven in the past.

It makes sense for the North Stand to be the 'home end'. Just make sure you make as much noise as possible when we need it the most and the rest of the crowd will join in. They'll join in anyway-the reason they don't right now is, for example, nobody in E or D blocks can hear any songs in H block and vice versa.

Falmer will be fantastic for atmosphere-it's designed to be.

I don't doubt that. Just thinking of ideas to make the atmosphere EVEN better. Sadly, there a quite a few modern stadiums in this country that are devoid of any atmosphere at all.
