I'm struggling with the concept to be honest, appreciate you want to create an atmosphere but disagree with the categorisation of supporters.

Primarily because there are also people who go to the football for a beer, shout and laugh - not necessarily to sing along to some spotty 16 year old's version of when the saints go marching in on his trombone - who cringe at things like this, frankly with the best will in the world, it's never going to be as good as Germany - for one, our home end is about 5 times smaller.

If we are going down this route, how about a section in the East Stand where liked minded people can meet for a beer and laugh - only rules are no replica shirts worn over jumpers or bobble hats, definitely no rattles or flags - singing optional.

Well, to be honest I think trying to organise SOMETHING is far better than just having another dull, plastic, souless new ground. Even if you had 200 large flags waving in the north stand then it is better than nothing surely?

Yeovil may be a bit too soon to organise it though we can but try. I too am happy to stump up money for flags etc if people are up for it.

Well you've got one definate here and you can put another £100 in the kitty.

Also Yeovil wouln't be too early imo as long as others were involved, we might get laughed at if it's just me, you and jmmypha!

Well, you have fun there while we will be in the North stand singing properly and getting behind the team.

:lolol: Who says you will get the North Stand? I've already emailed Martin Perry about my proposals

If we made a sticky thread on here for the Yeovil game we will get more.

Its hardly categorisation is it!
Organising a stand for people to be in who want to sing, bring flags and so on, instead of having those who do spread out amongst 4 stands trying to create an atmosphere. Its common sense.

Thank you, at least some people see what we are saying.

to be honest, the people who aren't fussed about singing will probably naturally congregate in the side stands as that is where they'll find the best view

people would only be behind the stand if they fancy singing

You are making assumptions it will be dull, plastic and souless - I think the standard and type of football under Poyet will help us along with making sure that doesn't happen.

As for the flags, I really don't think that they will lift a dull, plastic and souless stadium - especially if the football is poor.

I couldn't arrange a bunk up in a brothel so it would probably be best leaving the organisation to someone else but if others are up for it i'm in.

No, you are right. Let's just make no effort at all.

So you reckon 2500 people want to sing, bang a drum and wave a flag when they go to the football?

I reckon there are 100 at most.

If you want an area of the stadium, how about another area rather than the prime spot behind the goal?

We are not going to affect you in any way so leave us to do what we want and stop being such a twat

Nice one - I take it you will be the spotty 16 year old virgin playing trombone in the home end.
