Definetly needs some thought or else we might end up with one of the best stadiums in the country with an atmosphere like at Colchester's.

I completely agree with filling the North stand with our more vocal supporters and encouraging flags and banners, With the low roof it should generate excellent noise.

So often new build stadiums are described as being souless and void of any atmosphere I'd hate to think after all these years, Falmer would be put in that same pigeon hole.

This is exactly my fear, that Falmer will become just another souless, plastic ground with no atmosphere. It is up to us as fans to make sure that does not happen, it is essential to set the tone from the first game.

It should not be too difficult to organise flags and banners etc, I mean we have a whole YEAR to get it going. It just needs people to commit to going in the North stand?

Under your skin.
part 1. A decent size group of people who will sing bring flags/banners/scarfs etc get agree to this. (I'm in)

part 2. Someone tells Asbo Lee that singing will be in East/West stand.

part 3. When (and it will happen) we get some gobby twats in the north stand someone tells them to shut up when they start stupid shit songs/gets lairy for no reason.

Edit: If someone brings a drum it is used for SOME song and not all of them, they must also be able to play more than one tune.

I'm sure there will be a family stand somewhere for all you kids to wave your banners and shake your rattles.

Firstly I am not a kid and secondly do you really want to sit in a quiet, plastic, souless stadium or make it unique?

Sod flags, we need FLARES.

If we had some proper organisation to it, it should work. We should give it a go next season as it is the last at withdean. Give withdean a proper send off.

I'd be up for an attempt at taking over j block with flags and organised chants, even if it only ended up being 50 people with a dozen flags singing gosbts every now and then it would be better than as it is now?

only problem is its miles away from the away stand but other than that it could work.

2688 is big enough i reckon

Definitely, i would be up for that and know of more who would be up for it too. It is ok now but there is no order. We need one person leading at the front and then everyone singing.

2 people at the front, (Krispies and someone?) who know a few decent songs and don't mind starting them. someone at the back with a drum and everyone else with flags scarfs etc?

If others would be willing to join in I'd happilly get a season ticket in J block next season, infact IF at least 20 pwoplw are in, i'll contribute £100 for flags/megaphones ect.

Maybe we should start a sticky thread on here to arrange it all. I will be up for contributing and obviously singing and getting involved. What about trying to do something for Yeovil this season?

Glad to hear that others are thinking the same thing and are up for it. I would LOVE flares but we all know that is not gonna happen :(

Yeovil may be a bit too soon to organise it though we can but try. I too am happy to stump up money for flags etc if people are up for it.

I'm struggling with the concept to be honest, appreciate you want to create an atmosphere but disagree with the categorisation of supporters.

Primarily because there are also people who go to the football for a beer, shout and laugh - not necessarily to sing along to some spotty 16 year old's version of when the saints go marching in on his trombone - who cringe at things like this, frankly with the best will in the world, it's never going to be as good as Germany - for one, our home end is about 5 times smaller.

If we are going down this route, how about a section in the East Stand where liked minded people can meet for a beer and laugh - only rules are no replica shirts worn over jumpers or bobble hats, definitely no rattles or flags - singing optional.

Well, you have fun there while we will be in the North stand singing properly and getting behind the team.
