It's pathetic because it's the sort of short term, kneejerk, idiotic sort of thing that noddy clubs do and playing the long game that Tony does is EXACTLY why we are where we are. It's why we didn't sack Potter when he went on bad runs. Because it's dumb.

Now we have more expectation than just staying up and having a go at the big sides. TB has matched the expectation with transfer funds in the plenty.
With all the talent we have we should be doing much better.

And wanted to sign only the players he wanted. So we'd never have spent £200m on that basis. Plus he threw in the towel for the final 4 months while he was looking for/being tapped up for other jobs, which is hardly a glowing recommendation.

FH has to be given more than 15 games to get things right but equally he has to learn very, very quickly imho.
Every player we have bought in this summer were stand out players for their previous clubs. Mitoma, Ferguson, Enciso have not become bad players in the last few months.
Who has stepped up this season… maybe Ayari and Hinsh. Baleba was already improving.
I genuinely believe we have a top 6 squad and so for me there can only be 1 conclusion and that is that we aren’t playing to our strengths. Only FH controls this.
Give him time, yes, support him, for sure but let’s not think for one second that we always get these appointments right.

The worrying thing is Palace were well worth their win. It could've been 5 or 6 had they put away their chances cutting through our defence like butter. Defeat for them tomorrow and we could face them with new manager(possibly Potter) and Brentford can score for fun. After them, its top 6 sides to come so no let up in fixtures to come.

He’s making some mistakes but you’d expect that of someone his age and he has also shown signs of promise.

I would also say that despite the £200m spend in the summer, he’s been left with an unbalanced squad.

The fact we didn’t bring in a RB and CB after all that money spent is ridiculous to me, it was patently obvious we were lacking in ability and fitness in those positions. And we still have a few too many weak links that have to feature regularly in the matchday team. If we want to be a top seven team, I really don’t think we should be relying on the likes of Dunk (sorry), Lamptey, Adingra and Ferguson to play much as they’re not at that level. We are also putting out an incredibly young and inexperienced centre midfield in every game which is the most important area of the pitch.

Plus we’re also having to rely on very talented but incredibly raw players like Enciso, Minteh and Gruda etc to produce but who will all be very inconsistent due to their age and the types of players they are and all need time to develop.

It might be a large and promising squad, but Fabian has got a lot of hard work on there.

We NEED to learn how to beat these shite teams who play anti-football, but we're picking up some great scalps of our own.
Not beating the bottom three isn't a new Fab thing. Potter couldn't do it. RDZ did it sometimes. Stick with until the end of the season, at least!

We were spoilt under RDZ. He took us to heights that we can not maintain. He knew that, it’s why he left.

Fans are deluded if they think we’re going to be challenging for Europe every season while continuing to sell our best players.
