Far too early to round on the manager. But if we don’t get a win against either West Ham or Brentford, I think he’s in trouble in terms of the fans’ backing. Hope he can as there’s a lot to like about him.

Agree. Enciso looked a world beater at the end of last season and he’s been cast aside this year, why? Dunk is now past it and needs to be dropped. Genuinely baffling what Fab is doing to this team. Spend £200m and go backwards
It has to be attitude, I don't like Fabians attitude as I feel he has drained the confidence from too many players, indirectly and maybe even directly too. Let's hope he kicks himself up his fresh skinned arse, and quickly.

Have they

It seemed a strange call to employ an inexperienced manger and then spend £200m whilst not backing RDZ at all really after he was the manger who got us the top six finish.
Yeah but he turned into a ****, gave up and slagged the model off having signed up to it. Dead man walking from the moment he started mouthing off in post match interviews. Very silly boy

If Hurzeler told his team to give up two goal leads twice and to not bother defending against Palace then it’s on him.

I bet he didn’t, though.

I am right behind manager but looking over at dug out today I know I would have prefered seeing the DeZerbi version doing his nut because we were so poor rather than seeing our manager seated as just another poor performance

What’s surprising to me is that St Pauli had such a good defensive record, because we look very shaky defensively.
Compare that to Palace’s defensive shape today which was very compact.
Fabian has a saying ‘defence wins Championship’ which seems to reflect that he understands the importance of defence and yet we only play a single holding midfielder and look very frail out of possession.
He did adapt to the the ripping apart of our high line earlier in the season so I’m interested in seeing how he can now adapt.
In Fab’s defence we have suffered with key players being out recently such as Veltman, Ferdi and Hinshelwood but the pressure is going to build on him if we keep conceding goals like we are.
Boscagli would be a good addition in January if he can pull him in.
Tactically we’re so easy to play against. This massive gap between the defence and attack makes it easy for teams to play narrow and compact, and press as a unit. Palace won so many second and third balls today, simply by having 2-3 players closer to the ball after the initial tackle - it makes turning over the ball and countering quickly so easy for them. And this template has been followed by almost every team that’s visited us, except of course, the attacking sides which we’ve beaten.

Heaven only knows what the score would’ve been today had Baleba not been playing, as he was the only counter we had to that - a one man wrecking ball against a Palace team of 11 that were well drilled.

It’s shocking.

Why is pathetic? He’s tactically naive, the starting line ups are making no sense, I think he’s out of depth , conceding 2 goals in batches
It's pathetic because it's the sort of short term, kneejerk, idiotic sort of thing that noddy clubs do and playing the long game that Tony does is EXACTLY why we are where we are. It's why we didn't sack Potter when he went on bad runs. Because it's dumb.

How often, with a much weaker squad, did we get embarrassed by performances like today against lower league strugglers?

Would love to know what Tony Bloom is thinking tonight, is it, we are going to have to back FH in January with a new defence? Or, best get the Star Lizard manager book out again as they've given me another dud.

Can we be honest about Potter before he played Caceido we weren’t very good. Caceido controlling the tempo improved Bissouma and Mac.

Give him time. I'd understand if we were cut adrift at the bottom of the table, but he's been brought in for the mid- to long-term. Getting rid now would be a mistake, IMO.
Happy to run with whatever TB thinks but I confess to thinking he’s out of his depth at the moment and I am disappointed in him.

How often did we, for example, win away at Newcastle, come back from behind against Man City and Spurs? With the highest amount of injuries in the league and the impossibility of playing a settled team we are doing ok. Trust me, I'm as gutted by today and our bad run as anyone but calling for a manager's head at this stage is so mind bogglingly stupid that I almost can't comprehend it.

No thanks. Don't want the mid-season version of "lets avoid appointing the obviously most sensible choice because snowflakes would melt if we did". Seemed difficult enough in the summer when there was a shiteload to choose from.

He's in a new league, with a bunch of new players and a load of injuries. He'll learn and hopefully improve. Hence why I say give him time.

I didn't see anyone complaining when we were winning and top four. Maybe that's when he WASN'T out of his depth? Or was that down to the players and now it's solely the manager's fault?
