Is there a better place for Even to regain his fitness and composure, as well as experience?
Seriously. We are one of the best run clubs in the country, who would want him thats better than BHA?
Yes any place where he gets regular football is best for us and him.

Well somewhere where he can play football matches would be a good start.

Even if he goes out on loan I fear that he won’t benefit much from game time as he clearly isn’t that fit at the moment, and is likely to get a serious injury if overplayed elsewhere. I’d give him game time in
the under 21s if that’s possible and get him match fit for the last couple of months of the season. I just hope that he’s going to get a level of fitness that suits his potential - it would be criminal if he doesn’t make it after all the hype and promise.

This is all sensible but there seems to be a lot of noise around him in the media and social media at the moment, which my spidey senses suggest an agent being a busy bollix.

Let's face it, possible potential notwithstanding he's nowhere near these stories about Chelsea / Arsenal etc. And even Everton and West Ham loans don't really make sense. They (especially everton) are in a relegation scrap and need experienced, fit loanees. Not potential that struggles to put 2 or 3 sub appearances together.

A champ loan where we pay the wages and he can get back to business feels like the best option but it also feels like someone in his camp has delusions of grandeur

Keep him here. It's obvious.

Any club we loan him to have no incentive to manage his injury situation as it needs to be managed.

My prediction. This season is basically done for Evan. I think we'll see him make the odd cameo. But even if our injury crisis up front gets worse, he's not going to be leading the line for game after game. The truth surely is that we need him to get his ankle right. He needs to get his ankle right. Christ knows what this entails, whether surgery or just physio, but the lad needs to be thinking longer term. No ROI. No trying to get a loan in a desperate attempt to get minutes. He needs to be thinking his career is just beginning and that he should take whatever time he needs to get himself right.

I also think it's being agent driven, but my inclination is that he's generally unhappy at the club (for whatever reason) and thinks a change of surroundings / personnel will make him happier and motivate him more.

Send him to Stoke. He'll soon see sussex in a new light.

I think we are maybe seeing the results of stockpiling talented kids and telling them we are stepping stone.

Nobody is writing the season off. Why would they - 18 games to go, still in the cup (Chelsea are on worse run of form than us) , inconsistent form from everyone in/around the top 10.
That doesn’t seem to be the outlook when you mention how we are underperforming in the league. It’s the season of bedding in the young players apparently.

As to Welbeck for a stats based club we know it’s very unlikely he will score more than 10-12 goals despite the good run of form he was on.
He does add different dimensions on the pitch yet for pure goal scoring numbers I can’t see those hugely increasing.

Is there a rich history of Premier League teams loaning out strikers to gain fitness and confidence? Genuine question.

Sad fact is Evan needs to start producing the goods sometime soon. There's a clear window of opportunity here for him to step into the first choice number nine role. Sadly at the moment he doesn't appear quite ready to step up to the plate

#evanloantoceltic
That would be a good choice, we know he can score at this level confidence and fitness is what’s required.
Also Celtic would know they would have no chance of affording him so we wouldn’t get the free BW carry on.

Not winning some games we should have won or losing some games we played poorly in doesn't equate to - this means the season is over .
Club aren't saying it, Most fans aren't saying it and most of NSC isn't saying it . but granted . its a view out there !

Understand the sentiment of him choosing us but don’t think he is a victim of “stockpiling” because he is getting the chances, but not taking them yet.

According to Hurzeler - Welbeck , Ferguson himself , Pedro are all back in training. And Georginho is expected to have been training today. Crisis. What Crisis ? You'd have to argue a loan looks more likely.

And Oh for a striker who scores 10-12 goals a season in the PL !!

I think i'm being wooshed but this happens every season with a handful of strikers from one PL club to another (and dozens in other positions) . it normally youngsters out of favour or to give them game time. . Sometimes works sometimes doesn't. such is loans.
Perhaps Ask Neal Maupay what he thinks of it. ?

We've only had 3 players who have scored double figures in a Premier League season in the 7 seasons we've been here. 10-12 goals is a decent return for most strikers in the PL.

This is where I am at. He seems to be suffering from injuries, this is hampering a proper return. Get him fit, manage his minutes and develop him as we wish.

You do know it's quite possible to be in training and be nowhere near ready to play?

I don't know if this is the case or not, but what I do know is that every time I've seen Evan on a pitch for more than a year, he's looks barely able to be there
