You do know it's quite possible to be in training and be nowhere near ready to play?

I don't know if this is the case or not, but what I do know is that every time I've seen Evan on a pitch for more than a year, he's looks barely able to be there
In all honest only the club are in a decent position to decide what happens to Evan for this season.

They hopefully have insight into why he is struggling. I think they will make a good decision.

And even Everton and West Ham loans don't really make sense. They (especially everton) are in a relegation scrap and need experienced, fit loanees.

Not sure about that!

Not working very well here for him at the moment
We want to see goals and glamour on the pitch. . . . So no.

If only it were that simple.

there's a good striker/player in there, we know that . . . . You don't just bin people.

If NSC ran the club we'd still be playing Doncaster regularly.

Who is talking about binning him ?
He needs to be playing…….and we can’t afford the luxury of an unspecified period of time to play him back into form.

No wonder he looks knackered.

I think the complete opposite. The ideal scenario for us is he gets his confidence back and starts banging in the goals at THIS LEVEL. If he does that, yes it will strengthen a rival (for 5 months) but it will weaken every other team in the division he scores against. And he'ld come back to us being a striker who scores goals regularly in the Premier League, rather than one who has done well at a lower level, that then struggles in the Premier League again.

How is that situation not in the interests of BHA?
Because he won’t come back. Anyway if he’s not fit enough to play for us how is he going to be for West Ham? He’s not out the squad because of form, it’s because he’s injured.

He wasn’t playing until December (2 starts, cup games ) cos Welbeck, Pedro etc were picked ahead of him. (He was on the bench). And both were in form and we were winning a lot. He’s NOW out of the squad cos he has had an injury for a few weeks but is now training again. I guess he might not come back (will he get lost ? ) - but he’s under contract until 2029.

I suggest sending Ferguson to a mid-table PL club where they are not at risk of relegation, nor likely to feature in the chase for European places, a club that has a need for a striker to play up front, has a reputation for developing youngsters and doesn't have the most demanding fanbase. That's a club that can give him a lot of gametime.

I think the best club to send him to is Brighton and Hove Albion.

They’d send him back with a note saying, “lots of promise but never scores.”

Broja at Everton has just picked up a nasty injury - could be sent back to Chelsea which would free up a PL loan slot for Everton.

I think if he were to go to another PL club, Everton makes the most sense for all parties. Beto is awful, and Ev is of a similar mould to DCL, who has been missing chances for fun.

From our perspective Everton are not a direct rival, and could certainly take points off teams who are.

He really isn’t. It all started at Stamford Bridge in 2023. The injury looked a bad one that day and he’s never fully recovered (physically or psychologically). He’s 20 and has to be managed carefully on both fronts.

Everton might need a striker, but psychologically it could be a nightmare - their fans generally seem very angry and vocal.

Too right. And even on that day he was playing very soon after the Fabinho assault which is where I would guess all this started.

All the playing him when he isn't right might be what he wants but it isn't doing him any favours. For any club we loan him to, he's basically disposable, they'll play him whether he's right or not. A loan would be a strategic error.

I understand the lad is frustrated. I hope his family are urging patience. I think we're on the right lines with him, let's get him right first

I thought the 20 mins or so that he played vs West Ham was the most promising I've seen from him since his return, he looked a lot more mobile and 'involved' IMO, he'd have assisted the winning goal if Ayari could strike a football, and was inches away from getting it himself. Then, unbelievabiliy he got injured yet again. I feel for him.

Clearly the club need to manage his minutes due to these injuries, that is another reason why I cannot understand why anyone who thinks loaning him to a club like WH or Everton is in any way a good idea, neither will care about his long term, they'll be focused on getting him on the pitch this season at all costs.
