Sanchez IN.

An outstanding achievement, delighted for him considering how far he has come since December last year.

Fair play to GP for taking the tough decision to put him in for Ryan as No.1, and great work by the other coaches, Ben Roberts etc. who have got his development spot on.

Even if he doesn't get a game in the Euros, to be around some of those players will be great for him and for our profile as a club when trying to sign players.

Delighted for Sanchez.

Such a huge vindication for our club, our academy and for GP and staff for having the balls to start him in the Premier League. We have one of the best young keepers in the world IMO.

Great achievement indeed. I watched him make his football league debut for Forest Green back in 2018 and he looked a class act that day. A long way up from there to the Premier League and Spanish national team, especially in such little time - hats off to the kid.

It makes sense for them to leave Ramos out.

Only played a few games and quite a big personality to have around if he's not going to play all the time.

Pau Torres will be a fine centre back in years to come. I see Laporte has declared for Spain as well. Probably those two at the back

It's going to be a very different Spain side to what we're used to

I expect we'll see a fair bit of Oyazarbal, Moreno, Ruiz. Maybe a bit of Pedri.

Well done Luiz Garcia for a ballsy selection there.

You do need a bit of luck and the draw to be kind

If I recall the last winners, Portugal, didn't win a group game and were one of the worse sides at that point, in the end they only won one game in 90 minutes - against Wales. And Ronaldo was dreadful most of the time

So confirmed list now;

Robert Sanchez - Spain
Jakub Moder - Poland
Leandro Trossard - Belgium

Potential;

Joel Veltman - Holland - in provisional squad
Andi Zeqiri - Switzerland - in provisional squad

Ben White - England (probably one of the standbys if at all, I would've thought...)?

Anyone else I've missed?

Yeah they were very poor in the group stages.

Incredible to see Albion players at the Euros.

And let’s be honest, we really should be seeing at least a couple of Dunk, White, Webster or Lamptey (if injury free) as well.

Who do we think will actually get game time?

Moder I suspect, perhaps the odd cameo from the bench for Trossard if a game is already won?

The squad they've named is only 24 players. Room to add two more? Waiting on Ramos to prove fitness?

I'm guessing it's White's pace that puts him ahead - but I agree, White has the potential to be the best of the 3 but right now Dunk is some way ahead of him.

Lewis Dunk is unquestionably a better centre back than Ben White. Ben White himself said as much last week.

However, unless there were plans to actually PLAY Dunk in the starting XI, then you're looking for a squad player, and Ben White can cover a lot more positions (CB, DM, RB) than Lewis can.

I think the frustration is that - if Maguire is struggling for fitness - there isn't a better Maguire replacement attributes-wise than Dunk.

Although I take your point on White's versatility, with a 26-man squad you shouldn't need utility players quite as much.

France, Portugal and Italy are the three I'm most worried about. France and Portugal, in particular, are strong in every position, and Italy have had a resurgence of late and will be very hard to beat. I think we are better than some of the other big boys at the moment (Spain, Germany, Belgium).

We've got loads of exciting players going forward, but the defense and keeper worry me - if we can keep it fairly tight at the back we've got a cracking chance.
