Yes and I know you're a thick twat. There have been Christmas celebrations cancelled in this country because they might offend minorities. Of course if you lived here you might know that . Below is something known as fact, a concept that is clearly alien to you. It's just one example of what can and has happened.

For the benefit of the misinformed

Show me a link where Christmas celebrations have been cancelled in England.
Explain to me how Harriet Harmens (a socialist) bill proposals would cancel Christmas (according to the church of ROME)

As has been said, it's used to help prevent crime, to aid those who are being attacked and assist in detection of crimes. It's by no means 100% foolproof but it's also a lot better than nothing.

no one is arguing that god its hard work on here sometimes. all i am saying is that they have f***ing hours of saddique khan and his gang of f***ing idiots, that is only helping to pick through the pieces of it. CCTV collects evidence far more than works as a deterrent, in my opinion.

If you are going to blow yourself into the next world do you really give a f*** there is some grainy footage of you at luton parkway.

So in fact there are no examples of Christmas being banned are there, only some bullshit from a bunch of bead jugglers ?

Frankie baby you are completely mental aren`t you ?

But they are concerned that these new rules could be wrongly interpreted by councils who could introduce restrictions on Christmas activities.

Could , could ? Some idiot bishops opinion thats all.
Ban Christmas ? How do you get to these points from that ?

The Americans, and the British gave the world Israel. Israel has attacked its neighbours flying American built military hardware. Thats how I see the 'invasion' ...are we, and have we continued to attack muslims? Yes. Have we throughout history? yes. Did we invade Iraq? yes. Did we invade Afghanistan? yes.
How many hundreds of thousands of innocent muslims have been killed in the last few years?
My eyes are very open. I see a muslims life as equal to a christian, jews or any other persons life. I dont think you do.

Nobody likes terrorism, its shit, but...it isnt carried out for no reason.

Now let me think now, the people killed by Sadam Hussein in Iraq and Kuwait were .. now wait, let me think about it .... That's right Kurds and Muslims. The Iranians killed Iraq Muslims and vice versa I gather. The people who were killed in Afghanistan by the Taliban were, hmm, some Russians and a whole lot of Muslims. The people the Hindus slaughtered during the Partition of India and Pakistan were hmmm. Muslims ?

We're not the only people responsible for Muslim deaths. In the Philippines they have a serious problem with a very small minority of Muslims who want to overthrow the 95% Catholic population. They quite like taking hostages and when they get bored with them they behead them. Of course I imagine you think that's okay.

Christmas being cancelled is one of the EDL mantras isnt it?

It is, but it's not as simple as "cancelling" Christmas. And it's not the other religions that try to make this a standard. It tends to be the woolly whites who think they are being "racially sensitive" by having a calendar which only mentions Christmas Day and Boxing Day as "public holidays" but mentions all other religious holidays (Birmingham Council). With councils that issue Christmas Cards approved by their diversity teams which mention all other religions but only say "Season's Greetings" (Southampton Council).

It's this sort of rubbish which feeds the Right which then feeds the Left. Common sense fails because people are scared of offending each other rather than actually saying "Look - it's f***ing Christmas. It has nothing to do with religion, more to do with retail. Get over it."

I agree its about retail...
its nothing to do with religions.
but, to be honest...getting a card that said seasons greetings rather than happy xmas
wouldnt really bother me personally..in fact, i doubt if id even notice.

As said I am pretty sure the cancelling Christmas myth was debunked years ago. wasn't it the brainchild of some inconsequential council declaring a winterfest for retail purposes and had no intention of "cancelling" Christmas but having both. Somewhere in the Midlands I think. They did a bit about it on QI a while back but can't remember the exact details.

If there is/are more than one celebration taking place why should a Local Authority not recognise that ?

I take your point about recognising some and not others but is that really the case and why should Jews, Muslims and anyone else that celebrate festivals at the same time as Christmas (which borrows from Jewish and Pagan festivals anyway) and are also tax payers not be recognised?
