Everton strike me as a bit of a nothing club at this stage - never gonna win the League, never likely to win a cup, unlikely to get into Europe, generally unlikely to get relegated, just plodding along on the road to nowhere in particular.

At the right price, I actually think Everton would be an ideal move for Dunk.

Do you realy think 2 million will be enough to replace him.

Do we need to replace him ?

Greer, El Abd, Hall, Vincelot, Elphick, Calderon

Don't really want to sell any players but if we can get a good amount to finance that quality midfielder that is currently out of our budget then it might be a good deal

Dunk is probably too good for us already but as others have said, we have El-Abd, Greer, Hall and eventually Elphick to come back in so if it is a case of sell before buy, flog Dunk because we have cover and strengthen up front. Shame to see him go, but Everton is a big club who will actually play him so it is a good move for him and he will end up with an even bigger club in a few years time. We must put a healthy sell on clause in the deal.

I guess it'll come down to who offers him the most money. It usually does.

Can somebody explain to me why Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was worth £12million upfront plus £3million add ons after playing a couple of games in league 1, and yet some people say they are willing to accept 1million for Dunk?!?! Or am I missing something here?
We'd be stupid to sell for anything less than 3-4 million absolute minimum.

Imo, accpeting 2m as some are suggesting would be utterly stupid, this is a 19 year old England U21, considering the over-inflated pricesit would be ridiculous 3.5m+ maybe more and I'd talk, I think its only a matter of time before a bigger club than everton comes in and offers something silly, and given the contract he's on we'd be daft to take 1- 2m

I would think the club would snap their hands off or indeed any cluibs, for anything above £1m and sell ons. We have Hall who I consider to be better than Dunk in every department and is highly thought of by Gus apparently.

I dont want to put a damper on things here, but realisticly Dunk is not worth anywhere close to 2m, he is in his first full year as a pro, he has an awful displin record, but at the same time has huge huge talent which needs developing. If the clubs are talking i honestly think it will be in the £500k - £750K bracket with add ons based upon appearances and England appearances.

Why are clubs from the premiership after him if he is worth less than 2 million, he must be shit if you think he is worth less than 750 K

I personally think that 2M would be a great bit of business and even though i havent seen a lot of Grant Hall, feel he will be a great addition to our back line. Dunk has only played half a season at champ level. 2M is big money IMO.

transfers fees are not what they were. If Cahill is going for 6m.......thats makes dunk in the bracket I suggested earlier. He is not that good yet, but has huge potential to be that good, so yes premiership clubs are after him as he is an investment.

He will be a bloody good investment if Tony is stupid enough to let him go for less than 3 million

dont get me wrong here, and I am not suggesting that you are one, but people live in clud cuckoo land regarding transfers and fees. There is not a chance he is even close to £3m let alone £2m. He needs to stay here and develop under Gus and keep improving, thats where the investment lies.

Pork pie land.
I think they are unlikely to get him with so much interest from other clubs. Hopefully (if as I just have a feeling we will not be able to keep him), it will start a bidding war, and we will use the money for the areas where we are weak.
