Agree however if he wants to go and we don't let him will he still be class?
Always hard to keep someone who wants away, I agree but we've not had any indication this is the case have we? I'm biased of course but think the safest thing for Lewis is to stay where he is. He still looks his age sometimes - I'm not sure how he'd fare without GG looking after him on the pitch and in a team with a different playing style. Hoping we don't find out anyway :albion2:

he`s under contract pay us what we value him at or f*** off

For all that I would like to think this would be a good idea. From his point of view if he is asking to go (which as someone said we don't think he is at the moment) what would be the point in keeping him so he sulks and plays badly then have to get rid of him for nothing when his contract runs out.

If he sulks and plays poorly premiership clubs will lose interest, but if we keep our better players we stay in this division and get promoted, rather than sell and get relegated as has been the case in previous seasons

You cant go for free on a bosman from the club that developed you.

Never knew that, however, i presume this would be a tribunal fee which would be less than letting him when he preferred when an offer came in whilst he was still under contract, assuming this was a decent offer

tribunal fee at market value, they're generally not unfair fees...

What a load of b*****s being spouted about Everton on here. Yes of course Dunk should turn down the opportunity to play in the Premiership under Moyes. What the hell was Rooney doing joining them as a youngster.

m guessing that Everton have until next Tuesday to close a deal as presumably they won't want him cup-tied? He is available for Wrexham and given the prize I reckon he is odds-on to play given we will have their two big forwards back to contend with.

Is Dunk twice the player that Virgo was I am not sure that he is potentially yes but in actual play I wonder. He is no where near as good in the air, much the same on the ground tackling and possibly slightly better in distribution but twice the player

Hahahahahahahahaha

Did Dunk run over your cat, BG? Your opinions on his qualities are SO warped, and so at odds with 15,000 other people.

Weird.

Dunk is worth £5m. BHA players are always undervalued - Crofts for £300K was a steal even tho some of the half wits on here didn't think he could play.

Bear in mind that Crofts was a cast off from Gillingham who cost us nothing. Granted their then manager dropped a clanger but it's hardly new, a manager not seeing something in a player and letting him go, take Ian Wright for instance.

I wouldn't begrudge Dunk moving on to Everton but half a season in the Championship does not a Prem centre back make. And he's got about 3 times as many yellow cards as Vicente's got appearances for us. If he continues to play well his options will increase. For his sake I hope he stays until at least the end of the season.

I think Joel Lynch was in a similar position and moved too early. Bennett did the right thing and stayed on, got that League 1 championship and extra half a season and is now doing well for Norwich in the Prem.
