With the greatest of respect of to Everton, they are a stagnant club, with financial issues and a lack of ambition.
Given the likes of Spurs, Liverpool and Newcastle have also been linked, i wouldn't even consider this if i was Dunk.

Id be very surprised if he went anywhere other than Spurs, although Chelski could be a good bet 2...

that's Dunk gone then - they have Jagielka out for 6 weeks so Dunk could walk straight into the team - despite all the inflated ideas on here anything north of £1m with add ons and a sell on percentage will be a done deal in my view.

not overly worried as it is the one area where we have strength in depth as young Hall is showing

I wonder what happens if we sell both Dunk and Nooney, hopefully we will be buying at least another winger or perhaps a forward

I did say this yestersay. Doesn't mean they will get him, but they are definitely interested. https://nortr3nixy.nimpr.uk/showthread.php?224720-Everton-looking-at-Lewis-Dunk

As I understand itthey have two first team CBs left and see Dunk as a very cost effective alternative to a loan signing and with huge potential as a bonus. So would be back up but could easily play. They have also recalled their 21 year old CB who was on loan as well. Other clubs will be looking at Lewis Dunk as a prospect, so more likely to loan him back to us until end of the season.

Whether we will sell him - or if they can afford him - or if someone else comes in - is a whole nother matter. But Everton are looking seriously at Lewis Dunk which makes me think he could well be off somewhere in Jan.

Dunk must have a better chance of playing at Everton than Spurs?

He doesn't need to be playing every game, he needs to be at a club who play decent football, have ambition, the potential of European football- this should be about where he wants to be in 5 years time, not right now.
Sadly, these days, Everton are also rans.

Personally, I think he would do a lot worse than to go to Everton. They have a good track record of signing young English Centre Backs like Jagielka and Lescott who go on to get capped by England. Why? Because they get games and because Everton don't have much finance they invest in youth in order to either reap the playing benefits or sell on to bigger clubs (Rooney - Man U; Lescott - Man C). Both of which are great options for Dunk.

He deserves to be playing football and at Everton he is simply more likely to play tha at Spurs for example.

If Everton are willing to offer £2m+ (inc. a sell on % and apps based bonuses) then we should bite their hand off, say thank you very much and reinvest the money in the playing squad.

Imo, accpeting 2m as some are suggesting would be utterly stupid, this is a 19 year old England U21, considering the over-inflated pricesit would be ridiculous 3.5m+ maybe more and I'd talk, I think its only a matter of time before a bigger club than everton comes in and offers something silly, and given the contract he's on we'd be daft to take 1- 2m

Everton have Shane Duffy who's a class act waiting in the wings.

What I don't get about all this is we are not a selling club now, so really should only let our first-team go for stupid money.

Completely disagree. At a Spurs or Chelsea he will struggle to breakthrough for 2 or 3 years. Playing for Everton and having a realistic opportunity of actualy playing matches in the Premier League, for an excellent manager proven to bring kids through, at a club that has an England regular centre back, must be very very appealing.

I hope he dosn't go now although I expect him to in the summer and would be happy for him. Hope to get over a million for him though

If him and Nooney go I'll be furious, losing Dunk is one thing, to get rid of both him and a creative winger is shameful for a club with so called ambition.

Creative?! With all due respect to Noone and I do rate him as a tricky type winger he's hardly what you'd call 'creative' is he?
