Would it not be up to trans associations to start their own sporting bodies, obviously with support and guidance from elsewhere?

The answer is to have trans only competitions using their own guidelines, and to form independent associations to accommodate them.

Could the existing associations not create a new category for this? I don't see the need for them to start there on sporting bodies?

The existing associations could then create the guidelines/categories based on the nuances of their own particular sport.

Again, I wonder why this kind of thing hasn't already been put in place.

Just when you think Egomaniac No1s reign is coming to an end in 4yrs he will probably fix it for an even bigger Egomaniac No2 Musk to take his place and the idjuts will vote for him

Money? These organisations are self-funding with sponsor money, donors and so on.

This is exactly what Mrs P and me were talking about today, basically let them compete in their own category at the Olympics and so on

Surely these organisations are in place for everyone and able to seek more funding and sponsor money for such things?

Although with the demonisation of inclusion and firey discussion around this topic perhaps they fear that they will struggle to find new funding or lose what they already have?

Something seems to have caused inertia in the processing of this issue.

It seems like a pretty simple solution but if it were this simple then surely it would have been done by now?

I wonder what is holding it back?

I think it's only really come to light in the last few years so the governing bodies haven't had to take it on board fully and deal with it. Maybe this is the nudge they need to get a suitable solution.

Musk was born in South Africa. Mind you, Trump can change anything with his magic Sharpie.

this has always been my thought and one of my frustrations has been that people haven't seemed keen to show some patience around this to let organisations work out a decent solution. But then I thought that it has been rumbling on for a while . . . maybe I need to show more patience too.

I posted a few links earlier that show that things have been progressing somewhat.

https://www.espn.com.au/espn/story/_/id/38209262/transgender-athlete-laws-state-legislation-science
https://www.englandathletics.org/take-part/transgender- athletes/#:~:text=If%20your%20gender%20is%20different,compete%20in%20the%20female%20category.

But that brings me back to the narrative around this, from what I see these progressions are not talked about, which is a problem if we are trying to have a serious debate about it.
