No proof either way at the moment but is there really much difference? As a regular English man in the US if I so much as overstayed my visa I wouldn't exactly be expecting the red carpet treatment on the way back and probably some stiff interrogation.
There is a lot of difference as you will likely be aware. The US economy especially the service sector, operates on undocumented migrants. Many of whom haven't committed a criminal act.

Calling them criminals is playing to a rather worrying trope.

Overstaying a visa or not having one at all is a criminal offence in the US and the UK and most countries around the world. Technically you're wrong. And yes it's the yanks that are shooting themselves in the foot if they want rid of all undocumented migrants (which I'm sure they dont)....

It has been repeated and repeated for so long now that you can hardly blame people for not thinking too deeply about it and parroting it when it is acted on.

So, what are the Trump voters going to think now?
Do Trump supporters 'think'? As opposed to drool and whoop at his every lie, insult against minorities, threats against other countries, and word-soup gibberish that emanates from his foetid cat's bum mouth

In international law there are differences between

A) undocumented migrants
B) asylum seekers

And people who
C) undertake criminal acts
D) over stay on a visa

So technically it's you who is wrong

As others have said, it suits many to conflate the positions. It's up to sensible people to be able to see the difference and not parrot the line.

Ok fine. And a) is fair enough. But obviously if you're in a) and you get caught you will expect to be sent home.

Dwaynes's original trope also contained the word 'convicted' which is (despite his and Donald's thoughts) important in such matters.

Yes but it's a civil violation not a criminal one. It only upgrades to a misdemeanor (the minimal level of criminality) if they have used aggression or falsified information to enter and are then convicted in a trial

Still don't get where this is going though. Trump is deporting people with a criminal record (we have no evidence yet whether this is true or not). And even if he was just deporting unregistered migrants then what's the issue? The fact that they are handcuffed in a military plane?

You said they were convicted criminals. We now are at a place where there's no evidence they are criminals or convicted.

The main issue is are they being treated in accordance with international law?. Being handcuffed and denied basic human rights would mean they aren't. That appears to be what Colombia, Mexico and Brazil are arguing about..especially as these return flights have been happening for years with no issues previously

They caved in..... Do you really think the US needs Colombia?
The US Columbia trade agreement suggests they do. The question is more to what degree. There’s no doubt in my mind putting tariffs on Columbian good would impact US citizens and especially those working in the agricultural sector. It would also impact Columbia though. Whilst a third of Columbian exports are to the US its a small amount of their GDP , they could weather the storm.

Personally, I would have preferred Columbia to stick to their original guns but sadly they found a solution.

A week ago some people were praising Trump for the Gaza ceasefire. Less than a week later he's suggesting the area to be cleaned out, in other words ethnically cleansed.

If you thought the US was unevenly handed under Biden you ain't seen nothing yet

Did he also suggest that he could help with the development of Gaza for other people?

Of late ? Probably since the beginning of time , no ?

The lines have been blurred of late by people who can gain political and financial power from it. See Trump, Farage, Badenoch, Johnson etc. They have also been blurred by people who won't gain anything but are stupid enough to believe and repeat them without understanding that they are lies. "But they're just like me and they're doing it for my benefit" :dunce:

Which camp are you in dwayne
