Now now, you have been told that we must wait until after the tribunal - whenever that will be! Insider says the Club have no news yet. :nono:

And for all of those about to say to trust in MM knowing what he is doing - I do (with reservations - Backgammon anyone?). I just don't trust DK to give him enough money to do his job properly.

I'm gutted that we lost out on big Trevor Benjamin, he was going great guns for us before Judus Adams called him back when we had him on loan.

I know the club have said they won't get anyone in until after the tribunal but, IMHO, that is gonna cause us big problems when we do try to strengthen our squad... and we just can't afford a poor start to the season, IMHO...

Totally agree re Big Trev, who I have been saying we should go after virtually all summer (on Brightonfans)... I'm sure we could have competed with the Posh...

Don't you mean those with a realistic view of our club!?...

Nice to see you are still wearing those rose-tinted spectacles, Yorkie!...

I am getting f***ing pissed off by these tight - arsed tyke scum. If they can afford to pay £800k for other players why can't they brass up for Harding.

Is there any way we can insist on an early date for the tribunal. That bearded little shit Bates is trying to screw us into the ground.

wankers.

Those realists who were all doom and gloom last year and saying if we don't get players in (same time same channel) we'd be relegated by Christmas.
My prediction at the time was 17th (ok so we were 3 places lower than that but pretty realistic for all that)

Read my earlier posts on this thread... I NEVER predicted we would go down this season, and I'm pretty certain that I didn't predict that last season either... but we do have a weak squad with low numbers at present... take your glasses off and see how it really is!!...

Just to provide some balance, the young players looked pretty good at Le Havre, including the 2 keepers, but going into the season with one unfit experienced goalie is a massive risk, and one that we can ill-afford... last I heard, MM was not completely ruling out the possibility of getting Blayney in (more recent than 6 weeks ago)...

I agree with all that and have just posted the same thing about Blayney on another thread.

It may be a bad situation but would you rather we had the debts of a Leeds or a Cardiff ? Leicester and Derby have huge debts too plus what about Millwall ?

It could be worse.

True. Leeds may have shelled out a fortune in the past few days, but does anyone else think it's a mirror of their situation a few years ago, buying on the never-never? Or did Bates give a shedload of readies to them and not want it back?

If we end up with £250K for Harding I'll be gutted.

I wouldn't. I'll be :lolol: ing at the stupidity of Leeds United in paying top dollar for an ex-youth team player who still looked like a youth team player right up to the last game last season, and who those with eyes to see were seriously debating whether he should be in the starting line-up ahead of lardass Kerry Mayo. Seasoned followers of England away who go and watch the under-21 side the day before and whose judgement I respect tell me that Dan does better when not being shouted at. Fair enough, but he never got a rough ride during Albion matches from the faithful, only in NSC postings afterwards which he probably never even read. But when the Leeds fans see the panicky pup they've been sold, thay ain't going to be best pleased, let's put it that way. Funnnneeeeee :lolol:

We were shit lucky not to get relegated last season, if things had been slightly different we would be looking forward to a season in League 1. I for one have no wish to repeat that nightmare!

WE NEED TO REPLACE SOME OF THE PLAYERS THAT HAVE RETIRED/BEEN SOLD/RELEASED WITH SOME QUALITY SIGNINGS - FACT! (We actually needed some more players last year and never got them - but we were lucky!). :nono:

If things had been slightly different ie Kuipers not getting injured and Roberts injury healed up then we would have been in the top half of the table.

Yorkie, Fools Day is on April 1st!

Even with Kuipers we were never seriously near the top half of the table!

If my Auntie had bollocks, she would be my Uncle.

All that was needed was for Ipswich to score one goal, be it a deflection, dodgy penalty (yet another one!), or anything, and we would have been down.

Keepers get injured every week, it goes with the job. That is why we need at least one more experienced Keeper before the season starts. Who can say that FDM will be on top form when he does come back? ???

It's debatable to be fair. After beating Millwall in the last minute, we were very comfortably mid table on the coat tails of Burnley and Wolves.

Then again, that had little to do with our keeper injuries. I think Shaaban was in goal for the Millwall game - he certainly was for the game before that.

I'm slightly surprised that Leeds forked out £800K just days before the tribunal announcement. This implies that they're flush with cash, and so are in a position to pay a higher fee than might otherwise be extracted.

The Albion need to buy a decent replacement for Harding. Despite what people say he DID do a decent job for us, played loads of games and did well at the business end of the season.

With Harding and Jones gone we are relegation fodder as regards the left flank.

The Le Havre defeat has only contributed to my opinion that we are looking a threadbare outfit at present.

You were the one who said if things had been slightly different.

Before Kuipers was finished for the season we were in 15th place after a 7 match unbeaten run.

Yes my dear, i did say "slightly" different! FDM not getting injured PLUS Roberts getting over a long-term injury are hardly slight! However, one single goal could be considered slight, however important its effect. :lolol:

Think that would have been unlikely, tbh

We also had the extremely dodgy pen. v Coventry, the 'handball' goal by Reading, Knight missing a pen v Forest. There's another 4 points.
