What did you get ? mushrooms? Oakley? or those ones hand shaped with the flange on the end?

FFS - grips are going to end up as the biggest spend.

I bought some ok, modern ones, in haste.

I've found a set of 'stars' for £15.
Now I want mushrooms.

I was was a mushroom kid - ribbed for my pleasure.

Hello cyclists of NSC. I'm looking for any and all advice on EuroVelo Route 6 between Budapest and Vienna. Has anyone done it? We're stopping in Visegrad, Gyor & Bratislava en route. We're off for 4 nights in June and I can not wait.

Restaurants, places of interest, castles, views, thermal spas, Bratislava bars which aren't full of twats on stag dos, interesting routes etc. Thanks!

Jesus wept I now really NEED, the padding across the bars and clamp.

I guess the upshot of all of this is, as and when I grow tired of The Strat, I do have an entire BMX I'll be able to transfer onto an appropriate frame.

Boooo I have my first failure.

The new BMX front clamp and steerer doesn't fit into the headset.
To the naked eye they have the same diameter.

The only work around I can see is making a cut to the top and hoping I can squeeze out the mm or 2, I need.

Thoughts?

Anyone /\

Hopefully the brake calipers and levers will arrive today.
In which if I can force the stem in, The Strat can be finished tonight leaving me with a weekend of:-

Garden
Spurs
Garden.
Mincing along the prom on The Strat.

Stat

have you got callipers to accurately measure the forks and stem @

most big boy bikes are 22.2mm ?

If the stem is Aluminium you could spin a bit off in a lathe if you could mount it . . . . easier said than done obviously but also easier than trying to butcher the forks.

No but I might know a man who can, thanks.

Any other ideas gratefully accepted.

Brake levers didn't get delivered today.

Beyond that the only thing stopping me is the bloody stem.
If that had slotted in I'd be home and hosed.

Any of the lovely cycling family on here got any advice on how to go about dealing with the matter re the old bill etc...

Can you insist on getting CCTV looked at or is it best just to write it off...

Thanks in advance
