Significantly that 8th game win (against Chelsea) was when Zaha returned from injury, and it became clear that they were more than capable of digging themselves out if he stayed fit.
Nothing like that on the horizon for them this year. Eze is a good player, but he’s nowhere near as influential as Zaha was.

In further amusing news, it transpires that the player they've all been absolutely slating so far this season, Daichi Kamada, is the highest earner at the club, picking up £100,000 per week.
Was quite decent in Germany and is a Glasner signing but has failed miserably for Palace so far, whether in midfield or attack. He sounds like an expensive Mo Dahoud.

Yeah I’ve watched him in a few games now, and really can’t work out what his best position is meant to be. I had heard he was a Glasner signing, key to his system. But he doesn’t seem to have an attribute that really stands out. Not fast, doesn’t shoot or cross well, doesn’t seem composed on the ball, passing range seems limited, lightweight in tackling. Just very mediocre at best in most areas. An expensive Dahoud is right so far. But even that seems unfair on Dahoud.
Whoever runs the PL account knows EXACTLY what they’re doing…

Some had written him off before the transfer had been confirmed……..
TBF Dahoud was one of our highest earners so it looks like a very similar deal.
