Personally, I'd say everything that is wrong with Britain is encapsulated in this concert. Joss Stone, Bryan Ferry, Super tramp. Super Tramp? They were crap in the 80's. They are worse now. I wouldn't open my curtains to watch them if they were playing in my back garden. Also, Is it me or is the crowd a bunch of 40-50 year olds who think they are 25 odd for the day but haven't realised Duran duran are over 20 years in the past? Very very Strange viewing.

I'd say that everything that is RIGHT about NSC is encapsulated here. Since it seems about the only place free of unrestrained and maudlin worship of the Sainted Diana.

I'm not saying she didn't do good things (helped by the time and money to do so, admittedly) and I've never say that it was right for anyone to meet such an untimely end either. But why does this concert have to take up HOURS and sodding HOURS of prime time viewing on BBC1 - especially since the far more atmospheric coverage of Glastonbury didn't?
