Maybe its just because I'm watching it on TV, but the atmosphere appears to be remarkably err, flat?

Is this because it isn't transferring to TV very well, or because acts are being shunted on and off too frequently? Or just because the quality is to be frank pretty poor?

Live8 on tele had no atmosphere at all, so i'd say its the way it comes across on tele, know people there and they say its brilliant

But I watched loads of the Glastonbury coverage last weekend, and the atmosphere oozed out of the TV. Apart from being there, it was the next best thing.

But this evening, the 'crowd shots' just show thousands of people sitting in their seats like they're waiting for a bus. It seems as if for whatever reason the artists are too 'detached' from the audience, and are unable to make any sort of connection to get them off theirs seats and dancing.
