Well she had sod all else to do. If I was wealthy and didn't have to work, I'd do good work too.

why does somebody have to be wealthy to do voluntary work (which I assume
your good means), likewise there are plenty of wealthy people in this country who do no good whatsoever

Hard done by???

Do me a lemon.

As has been mentioned, yes her charity work was commendable, but she's hardly alone in getting involved. In fact, considering her position I'd EXPECT her to be donating her time to worthy causes, particularly as it isn't as if she had a proper job or anything else to do.

I've nothing against her but I really couldn't care a shit that she's dead, and I didn't give a shit when it happened either.

Charities cashing in on it aren't much better, although you can't really blame them for jumping on this lucrative bandwagon.

For some reason Di sells.

She also smells (probably) being as her corpse will be rotten raw by now.

Does anyone know if she was cremated or buried? It'd be a great story if someone dug up her grave and nicked the coffin. A truly laughable scandal that you just know the media would have a field day on.

Because some of us work 60+ hours a week.

I liked her a lot although I am similar in age but she did manipulate the press a few times to her favour.

You really do have to commend her for her work with AIDS as it helped many ignorant people to understand this terrible disease and how to at least control it in places like Africa.

As do many celebrities. It was her way of hitting back at the 'establishment'

Exactly and you could argue that her death was a watershed for the Royal Family as a whole as things had to and did change.

No, her death was just another road accident. They happen every day.

I seem to recall Mother Teresa died around the same time, so where's her benefit gig?

She did infinitely more work for those in need than Lady Di ever did, but she wasn't young and pretty or married to a Royal.

Absolute joke.

As I said before, I have nothing against Diana, but all this bullshit does make me feel resentful towards her. You just wanna shake all these morons who bleat on about her passing as the greatest tragedy of peace time Britain. "Forget her, she's nobody"

are you watching? the anecdote just on about her joining the queues with everyone else at Alton Towers and doing sign language with the little deaf boy sums it up for me... truly the People's Princess...

No I'm not watching it.

So she joined a queue to see how it felt and learned sign language.

Well BIG WOW. I've endured more queues in an average week than she will have in her entire life.

And as for learning sign language, anybody can learn it, as many people do. Good on them, but does this make you a better person than the average Joe on the street?

I think not.

I'd learn sign language if I had cause to use it, but as it happens I very rarely come into contact with the deaf. As a media hungry public figure it's hardly a surprise Di took the initiative to learn it. Sure made her look good to her "adoring public"

Anymore anecdotal tales of her brilliance? I'd love to rip them apart too.

Can't listen to Joss Stone without recalling her cringe-worthy performance at some awards ceremony or other- possibly the Brits- when she displayed a hideous fake American accent and wished "big big love to Robbie for what he's going through right now".

What he's going through?? Sitting in a plush Arizona rehab joint feeling sorry for himself because he's down to his last £60 million, his album was shit and his record company still won't let him creep out of the closet?

Yep, big big love needed there...
