I'd say that everything that is RIGHT about NSC is encapsulated here. Since it seems about the only place free of unrestrained and maudlin worship of the Sainted Diana.

I'm not saying she didn't do good things (helped by the time and money to do so, admittedly) and I've never say that it was right for anyone to meet such an untimely end either. But why does this concert have to take up HOURS and sodding HOURS of prime time viewing on BBC1 - especially since the far more atmospheric coverage of Glastonbury didn't?

Yup

When the BBC had the vote thingy for the 'Greastest Briton' or whatever it was called, I remember reading probably the most accurate statement ever committed to print.

"Give an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters and they'll re-write the works of Shakespeare. Give 58 million Brits access to a telephone and they'll attempt to canonise Princess Diana"

News of the World readers voted 85% that she had been murdered, one week later 75% said she was still alive. :jester:

BBC coverage is shamefully snivelling, mainly from that woman with Jamie Theakston.

"So, Mr xxxx, did you watch Harry turn from a boy into a man?"

I know it was a while back, but we did a much better version of 'Jesus Christ, Superstar' in the early 70's when Malcom McDonald of Bournemouth was the target....Super Mac, super queer.....
