i dont think it means that we are expecting too much and feel we are premiership bound just because a few people reckon our goalkeeper is shit and doesnt cut it in this league!

no i wasn't at the game but it sounds like a big goalkeeping error that has cost us a few points

In main due to the cross bar...

I'm fairly sure that shots that hit the post / bar are not usually counted as 'on target' -on target means that they would have been a goal if they had not been saved / blocked

I think we would be at least 5 points better off with a different keeper. Would rather we had vicente in goal. At least he f*ckin dives

Ryan Harley?

'Double Indemnity'

No Harley No Ankergren we would have been six points better off.

Seriously, and musically, it is time for that famous military march - Ankers Away !

There are some who say he is a good shot stopper, FFS that is what a GK is there for, there is no other part of his game which makes him worth retaining. Seriously, if he is still between our sticks after the January transfer window then we are in deep trouble.

Time indeed and if he is not replaced ASAP we will be looking down the barrel of the fight for survival thing.

Sadly CA is a liability, never mind he had a better than normal game on Saturday against Hull City, the Board needs to address this and other glaring shortcomings if they seriously want to stay up never mind challenge etc.

A mistake? The Millwall player absolutely hammered it and it moved in about three different directions. Ankegren did well to even get a hand to it. And made a couple of excellent saves first half. There really are some f***ing morons on here.

You do know every goal we concede will be his fault.

No, apparently 1 goal (an absolute worldy) conceded in 180 minutes isn't good enough, and we need a Premiership reserve in place, because Spurs and Arsenal are desperate to farm out their second choice keepers to help our cause.

Anyone who actually went to the game tonight will tell you that Casper was outstanding.
In the first half he made some incredible saves as they laid siege to our goal. He even came for a cross and caught it cleanly!
The goal was a screamer which swerved and dipped at the last moment. The real question is when are we going to learn that players in this league will score from 25 yards if you let them have a free shot.

If this slating was coming from people who were at the game, fair enough. However I suspect much of it is based on the whining about Ankergren emanating from the radio/Seagulls Player this evening and even they had toned down their bleating about the extent of his fault with the goal by the final whistle.

Seeing the goal on ssn I would say you make the shot seem more difficult to save than it was. The ball was clearly going to that side of the goal, what movement there was on the ball was minimal and made no change to which side of the goal it was going to, and gus had enough time to get there to cover it. He definitely should have saved it. I'm reluctant to call it a 'mistake' though because that seems to me to evoke something more clumsy or more like making an obviously nonsensical and wrong choice, this just seemed like he was too slow to react.

Well fair enough, I was not at the game so any comment I made was indeed based upon the BBC Sussex commentary.

My thoughts are however based upon observations from last season and this and are therefore purely my viewpoint but obviously that of others.
