If Roberts doesn't grow, and obviously he could, he will have to be converted to LB or CM, so this works.
Well done to the lad.
We could definitely do with a defensive minded, left footed central midfielder.

In the past I dont think it would have been possible to play CB in the PL with his height but with the PL becoming more and more similar to La Liga or Serie A, I think it could be possible now - some great examples over the years like Puyol, Cannavaro, Cordoba and surely some others... it does require the player to be absolutely phenomenal though and I agree he probably needs to be converted to a new position - something GP wouldnt be afraid of trying to do.

Aye, Cannavaro is the same height, and was a dream of a player.

Jayson Molumby to Forest + Other Jan Moves Out

January will be a busy time for us in terms of outgoings!

⌒◎⌒Hearing from a good source that Jayson Molumby is going into Notts Forest for Medical in next 48hrs

⌒◎⌒ Both Keepers Matty Ryan & Christen Walton have been told they can leave if they find a club in Jan'21

⌒◎⌒ U23's Transfers;
Attacker Peter Gwargis is in talks with Portsmouth, Max Saunders could be going back out to AFC Wimbledon but is also talking to a club in Belgium, 23's Captain Teddy Jenks is wanted by non-league Hasting Town, and full back Ayo Tanimowo should be going out to Enfield Town.

⌒◎⌒ U18's Transfers;
Matthew Everitt-Moore Midfielder already on-loan with Welling Utd, Ed Turns availability has been requested from an unknown National League club, Winger/Striker Jack Leahey who was out on-loan with non-league Merstham is in talks with League 1 Northampton Town and several league 2 clubs to include Stevenage and Southend Utd, there's also rumours of a permanent switch to Championship side Millwall? which may be a bridge too far as its not been confirmed that his been offered a Pro-deal or not at the Seagulls yet? and Todd Miller the winger we brought from Colchester for 400k is also looking for a loan out of the academy as his not happy playing second fiddle to U16 players that are currently being pushed by the club, also being told there is interest and a possible permanent move for 18's goalkeeper Toby Bull however I have not been told from where, if I had to make a guess probably a non-league club, but could also be another academy as he is very decent but is our 18's second choice behind Fynn Tally.

So a lot of business in terms of players going out, but the interest in out youngers is the positive here and very promising, good news for the academy and tells us that our future looks very bright.

That is a pretty strong 2nd post. Molumby is a loan I'm assuming?
Gwargis needs to push on so that'll be a great move for him.

It will all be a load of made up nonsense

Maybe, maybe not. Nothing unreasonable, all of it seems pretty much in line with what could happen (though sounds weird with promising players going to non-league teams). And we will know if its nonsense or not in a couple of days. If Molumby goes to Nottingham, we know we have a man in the know and if he doesnt go to Nottingham, we know that we dont.

I would say, if we were going to loan Jenks out, you'd expect better teams than Hastings to be interested.
England yoof, U23s captain.

I thought Ayo Tanimowo was on loan to Welling.

All loans I presume? I hope Molumby isn’t being sold, think the lad has got real potential. A loan to Forest in a competitive Championship under Hughton will do him the world of good.

But fully agree, Tony’s vision for the academy is really starting to blossom. Beautiful to see.

Peter Gwargis isn't too happy at the moment. His contract is up in the summer, we are trying to get him to sign a new one but hes not overly keen (although not against it).

Hopefully he stays but he certainly deserves a good loan somewhere.

I hope he stays as well. As he says, we have made it clear to him that we rate him so hopefully that will convince him to sign, but we need to be giving him a chance real soon. The same with Molumby, although hes been regular on the subs bench if he doesn't get more game time I think he will go soon. I hope we can convince Ostigard to sign a new contract but I think that we are too late for that.

All well and good, but do you have any news on Maty Ryan, Max Sanders and Christian Walton?
