Being reported in the Irish media - although they are saying that Preston are favourites to land him and a number of Championship clubs have enquired.

It is also being reported that Brighton turned down an offer from Millwall for a permanent transfer that was described as a 'Millwall record' - although given that the Millwall record transfer fee is £1.5million that really isn't a surprise.

Yeah Naylor said as much. [tweet]1346446182667718659[/tweet]

Not a great start V_001

Yep! Forest were desperate to get him but being told Albion more instrumental in Jayson going to PNE in the end.

Maybe playing style and development needs or some saying Brighton not wanting to loan out to ex-boss?

Good , I hope we get him to sign for another 3 years , I really think he's ready to be in the matchday squad , just has something different about him and in a years time he will be playing regular first team football wherever he ends up .

I just hope Potter and the club see his potential because for me he's the best player I've seen come out of our academy and that includes Connolly and Alzate .

Yes, had a lot of injuries up until last season, possibly growing etc. and nearly released at the end of his scholar 2nd year, thank god someone decided to give him a chance and offered him a year. His really turned a corner in the past 18 months, developing into a real handful, very direct, tough with a real desire to win, hopefully we see the light and give him a long term deal.

..... and Haydon Roberts is joined by ex-Brighton veteran Paul McShane at the centre of Rochdale's defence just after Crewe's 3rd. goal goes in - and thereafter keep a clean sheet in a storming comeback to 3-3.

Lovely goal too.

Warren O'Hora signing for MK Dons permanently apparently.

Must have made a good impression - he missed a fair few games with concussion, I think. I was surprised to see he's played as many as 14 games for them. Hope we didn't sell him too cheap, and best of luck to the lad.

Phew! ...... that's one less CB to try and shoehorn into the team in a couple of years time!

I am sure we included a fair sell on clause.

This is a bit strange, isn't it? It's good that we've generated a fee but it seems a change in the approach to me - am I wrong?

Not much point keeping him if MK Dons made us a good offer, seeing as we are so well stocked at CB. Ostigard, Roberts, Clarke and van Hecke are all out on loan and would be ahead of him in the pecking order. And that doesn't even take into account our 1st team and U23 cb's.

Good luck to him.

Did he arrive about the same time as Molumby? I seem to remember we signed two young Irish players at a similar time.

Not all academy players are going to make the first team - in fact a lot of the youngest ones may nit even ultimately have a career as a professional footballer. The ones in between, like O'Hora, will be passed on to lower ranked clubs - providing they generate enough revenue from the transfer fees, then that's the sustainability model for the academy.

That's the Chelsea, sorry Brighton, way.
