Oh I dunno…they’ve got The Europa League matches to deal with….but then I guess we’ll be trying to cement our place in the top four

Draws, yes I know it’s not fixed, get up my nose.

The Arsenal luck with home ties against smaller clubs in both cups over the last 7 years is legendary.

I’d have loved something like Preston at home so that Potter could continue with blooding these kids but with a great chance of a win.

Rodgers rested a few key players against Napoli last week from his starting 11, saving them for us. I don’t know if he really is taking it that seriously. They’re never going to win it.

Oh..you’ve finished with Swansman and now it’s me? FFS back at you
Sorry, but Swansman was rude first. As for this, what on EARTH are you talking about?

You basically accused Mellotron of being outraged at Connolly cupping his ear when he clearly wasn't. Hence FFS

See thread….and LOL at suggestion that you have to earn a ear cup…and the fact that it’s even being discussed

Of course you do. It’s a cocky celebration. Imagine how funny/odd it would’ve been if Dan Burn had done it after the goal vs Man City. But he wouldn’t, because he’s clearly not a bellend.

It’s being discussed because Connolly has a long history of acting up, so anything gets noticed more when it’s him than with other players.

You continue to struggle.

If it was all about his goal celebration, there wouldn't be an issue. The suspicion - given his off field conduct and absence of first team goals for well over a year - is that it might represent an attitude problem.

And making this point here is the whole point of the forum. Where else is it supposed to be said?

Yeah or that he is 21 and not yet good enough to make 0 mistakes in life and 20 goals in PL. The best way of helping him getting there is to support him on and off the field.

WTF was going on with the draw? :lolol:
Bowls club, old dear in a Palace shirt, the rest of the old boys in Arsenal shirts and Arry doing the jokes.

The female presenter failed to mention the Albion when talking about the ties near the end, oh well.

It's the League Cup, that's all part of the fun isn't it?

We should be glad they don't do a crossover with an episode of Supermarket Sweep.

Actually, now that I've had the idea, I totally want that to happen.

If he did, its entirely understandable. The amount of crap I've heard about how its perfectly fine, normal and justified behaviour to take a shit on Connolly day in day out, it should also be perfectly justified for him to ask "what did you say?" when he scores a goal or two.

It isn’t. It just shows he hasn’t matured at all. Cup your ear when you score number 15 in the Premier League if you really must. Doing it against lower league opposition in a team of reserves just makes him look like a dick. Well done mate, you scored against a lower league team. Why can’t you just get on with your job like a professional?

Well yes, but a) does that mean we can't discuss his attitude on NSC and b) if not, who put you in charge and where should we go to discuss at that won't offend you?

This.

Being cocky when you’ve done **** all makes you look like a prat.

It’s literally as simple, as open and shut as that.

Sorry I don’t agree about earning that at all….opposition fans slag off player …who then scores twice and cups ear at them…….and I agree to the last sentence …but perhaps too much being made of it

***CAUTION***

For those of an anti-Aaron Connolly disposition, the following photo (on the club website, incidentally) may cause you to spontaneously combust:-

Did the Swansea fans slag him off? Where have you heard/seen that?

As you say, it’s been over discussed anyway. But I do feel that being cocky should be earned, in any walk of life.

When Cristiano Ronaldo or Zlatan show arrogance in their celebration after finishing off a hat trick with a world class finish, I think “fair enough, you’re actually as good as you think you are, so I begrudgingly respect it”.

When someone like Marko Arnautovic does exactly the same sort of “big man” celebration after his first goal in 15 games or something, it looks stupid.

In my opinion. Perhaps you disagree. All good.

It doesnt make him look like a dick. Bit numpty maybe but no worse than that.

Sitting around and looking in which direction one of the players in the club you are supporting is cupping his ear, just to have a reason to give him shit on a night when you have no real reason, THAT makes you look like a dick. Why cant you just support like a supporter?

Who is the punter making excuses for MU …going on about them not having their strongest team out….neither did WH

Pathetic wasn’t it. Cockney Casey Stoney bootlicking potless Solskjaer. Their huge resources of Matic, Lingard, Martial, Fernandes, Sancho, VDB, Lindelof, Bailly lost at home.

Go back through the thread…more than one said it……if he had done it to home fans then that would be an entirely different matter

Blimey you edited your post quick :)

Yes totally agree with the rest of your post …and I apologise if I came across to agressively…we r good

I wonder what many of us would've been like at his age, earning his money?

I don't buy this excuse. There are hundreds of players his age and younger on similar and better wages and they don't act like knob heads.
