Well yes, but a) does that mean we can't discuss his attitude on NSC and b) if not, who put you in charge and where should we go to discuss at that won't offend you?

a) the answer is quite obvious since its discussed all the time; yes you can. Should? Different question. b) I put myself in charge of my own opinions on that topic.

An earlier poster said they were chanting you fat ******* to him.

Censorship- illegitimate child.

Go back through the thread…more than one said it……if he had done it to home fans then that would be an entirely different matter

Wasn’t aware of this. Fair enough, in that case the ear cup is a bit more justified IMO.

Still think he’d be better off keeping his head down and getting on with it rather than continuing to look for drama, but hey.

I've just got back from the match. Unlike most of the people on this thread. I had no problem with the cupping of the ears. People should Chill out. :moo:

Did the Swansea fans slag him off? Where have you heard/seen that?

As you say, it’s been over discussed anyway. But I do feel that being cocky should be earned, in any walk of life.

When Cristiano Ronaldo or Zlatan show arrogance in their celebration after finishing off a hat trick with a world class finish, I think “fair enough, you’re actually as good as you think you are, so I begrudgingly respect it”.

When someone like Marko Arnautovic does exactly the same sort of “big man” celebration after his first goal in 15 games or something, it looks stupid.

In my opinion. Perhaps you disagree. All good.[/QUOTE

It doesnt make him look like a dick. Bit numpty maybe but no worse than that.

Legitimately intrigued by how you rank "dick" and "numpty" on the scale of offensive terms for people.

I think Connolly's a numpty, but his celebration makes him look like a dick. Having said that, it's nowhere near dickhead level, and doesn't deserve the shit he gets at his age, I'm sure he'll grow out of being a berk like we all do.

Seriously though, what's the Swedish equivalent of numpty?

Pathetic wasn’t it. Cockney Casey Stoney bootlicking potless Solskjaer. Their huge resources of Matic, Lingard, Martial, Fernandes, Sancho, VDB, Lindelof, Bailly lost at home.

Yup. Sancho cost about as much as West Ham’s whole side put together.

Buck has to stop with the manager. Ole is nowhere near the level of Tuchel, Klopp and Guardiola imo.

I don't buy this excuse. There are hundreds of players his age and younger on similar and better wages and they don't act like knob heads.

Who says they dont.

Who, besides The Sun who acknowledged his MASSIVE CRIME against humanity (having sex with a girl during lockdown) and those on here who see tabloids as their Gods, says he acts like a knob head?

Connolly scored two decent goals and put a shift in after what has been a pretty torrid time for him. I couldn’t give a stuff about his celebration, some very odd posts on this thread. Well played Aaron haters gonna hate…..

Utterly embarrassing that some are criticising him for cupping his ear at Swansea fans. The Swansea forum is the place for that.

Blimey you edited your post quick :)

Yes totally agree with the rest of your post …and I apologise if I came across to agressively…we r good
I too agree that if he was aiming it at Swansea fans after taking a load of stick from their bus load then that is a different matter entirely. I must confess, I had assumed he was doing it at the home support needlessly.

Google translate says that "töntig" is the translation but I dont know about that... "töntig" is more similar to "dorky". I dont think there is a Swedish equivalent of numpty.

Tidy finishes from Aaron, very pleased for him after a difficult time on and off the pitch.

The celebration was a bit needless but if he enjoys winding up small numbers of travelling fans and some of our own fans by the sound of it too then that's his choice, shows what type of character he is.
Hope he keeps focussed on his football and realises his potential.

Can't believe Swansea didn't score, they could have had 2 early on and 3 or 4 in the game. On to the next round..

Sim…as I’ve said to Melo ..apologies if I was a bit OTT…I perhaps could have worded my responses better…..I’d have found it quite hard to take if he’d been doing that to our support

I can't work out what level OGS really is. I don't think he's proper shit, but he's no master tactician either. Potter is comfortably a better coach, that's for sure.
