For those who are not going to tonight's game, don't have Sky, don't have a dodgy stream, don't have commentary on Albion app.
Talk Sport with Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent are at the Amex
between 4pm & 7pm chatting to PB etc.....

So Saints manager Russell Martin is a Brightonian as I'm sure most people know. However I'm sure I read on here that he doesn't (or didn't at some point in the past) have a good relationship with the Albion.

Can anyone shed any light on this or is it just bollocks?
At his press conference he spoke about his association with Brighton a lot - touched on it 2 or 3 times, sometimes at length.
Brought up in Brighton, his kids live here, he has a place here too.
Acknowledged how successful our master plan is on how to develop a football club
Enthused about the multicultural aspect, vibrancy , openness and inclusiveness of the city.
Was an Albion fan back in the day - in attendance at The Goldstone, a few visits to Priestfield and claimed to watch from up amongst the trees at Withdean.

Most long term albion fans will be fully expecting our traditional pratfall against teams struggling in the league. Them's the albion rules
And this Southampton team are not without threats. They hit their stride, we have a slightly off day and anything can happen. That's the Prem.

No complacency from me today.

I've bet on both a draw and a Southampton win. Determined to either end the day delighted with an Albion win and EPL 2nd place, or with some monetary compensation for the traditional pratfall 😄

I’m going into this evening under no illusion that;

1) They won’t have any decent hot food left in the north upper
2) we’ll lose to a sucker punch
3) something traffic related

Strap yourselves in as this has the hallmarks of an absolute classic

I genuinely expect a 2-1 home defeat.

A shame because if Southampton could oblige with one of their famous 9-0 Premier League defeats, we'd probably STAY second at the end of the weekend (assuming no other thrashings and City don't win at Anfield)

Emotional hedging is common, I’d “buy” an Albion win for a fiver

Going by how they played the Pool (although Liverpool did have more than one eye on Real Madrid 3 days later ) it wont be an easy game , they played some decent football . But with our attack we should be far too strong , and it`s not like we are strangers to teams who play out from the back - 3-0

As we all know Southampton are way better than their league position suggests but don't convert enough chances and fanny about at the back. I reckon If we loaned them Evan Ferguson they could turn their season around, and hopefully we get a Prem ready striker back next season...

Nervous about this one - no easy games. For some reason I’m absolutely buzzing for it though. Also, I love playing on a Friday when you get a good result and can sit back and enjoy the weekend and other scores! Come on boys!

He's Prem ready now it's just that Danny is flying and we need to make the most of that.
