I learnt this week that Russell Martin is actually going out with former lad mag favourite Lucy Pinder. She's a massive Southampton fan apparently and they look a great pair to be fair.

Lallana may not have moved to a better club, but he was an supposedly important character that left on a free transfer for another PL club. This puts him in the "bad human being" category alongside White, Cucurella, Bissouma, Caicedo, Trossard etc.

Brilliant player and another very important part of our growth. He deserves respect and admiration from Albion fans.

Very few on here have any hate for Bissouma or White, or indeed Lallana, Burn, Gross or numerous others. Mac Allister is still well loved because of what he achieved whilst here and because he comes across as a thoroughly decent bloke.

Cucurella, Sanchez, Caicedo and Trossard get grief for the manner in which they left. Personally I'm pretty ambivalent to all except Sanchez, who is a prize tit, but I get that others aren't.

If Lallana plays tonight, he'll get a polite clap from the Albion fans, which is pretty much commensurate to what he actually delivered for us - mediocrity but professionalism.

So Saints manager Russell Martin is a Brightonian as I'm sure most people know. However I'm sure I read on here that he doesn't (or didn't at some point in the past) have a good relationship with the Albion.

We've only ever won 3 games in a row twice in the PL and that was in October 2018 and last season under RDZ. We've had 2 chances this season to do this already this season - away at Arsenal - drew 1-1 after the wins v Everton and Man United. And Wolves - THAT draw - after wins v Spurs and Newcastle.

Lallana moved back to his original club, next to where he lives so he could see his kids a bit more after 4 years with the Albion where - injuries aside - he was still an decent player and made nearly 100 appearances.
He did fine for us - especially behind the scenes. Not sure why anyone has any issues with his leaving or why. He's a good bloke in my eyes.

Anyway he's not playing. Injured !
