I don't agree that we looked better with Dunk. It made the side totally unbalanced with JP at
right back

JP and Igor have been tremendous and Lewis needs to earn his place or one of the two could be rested for a match
I agree with you that the primary partnership is currently JPvH and Igor, but that's not really what I meant.

In the context of the game we were messy going into the final stages. A combo of Dunk coming on and the change of formation that it precipitated gave us back control. I dont agree that it made us look unbalanced. I liked the 3 at the back. It stopped the rot. The entire end of the game was us pinning them in their own area (admittedly to no great ultimate effect) but it was secure, with Dunk instrumental in making that shift.

I guess you're always going to have a stinker of a game, but this journey of changing the team's mindset and perception of how good they are is still ongoing.

In the past few years there's been a shift in that mindset when we play a 'big' club, culminating in the start of this season where it's much more, bring it on, we're going to try our damndest to beat you, home or away. Before it was, whatever we can snatch from this we'll be grateful for or, I can't quite believe we've beaten them.

The mindset against opposition in the lower half of the table doesn't seem quite there yet. That killer instinct is still missing. We have the squad depth now to shake things up, make astute substitutions, so hopefully this change will be the last piece of the jigsaw to see us really push for Europe again. Whilst it's frustrating, I'm hopeful, Hürzeler seems absolutely focused on achieving it.

Fingers crossed.
It's where I hoped (rather than believed!) we'd reached, pre-Friday.

I'm with you and in all honesty maybe we should've been there already, but hey, there's always bumps in the road. Just frustrating, but 'trust in the process', as the Gaffer always says 😁

Brighton factually.....
I still rather like the atmosphere at the Amex on Friday, flat and meh.....

The second half was awful as was our support....

Not looking forward to Palace at all, if Friday is anything to go by.

31,542 as per the match report on the club website (always worth checking there as they usually include it).
Thanks but I did look on the website but couldn't find it. It is usually on the BBC report and the Sky one too.

This. Until then, the second half was one way traffic against us. In the final stages we were pressing for the winner.
