I know we’d definitely just beaten Man U, who finished 3rd that year, so we were in decent form. As for Everton, I think they were 3rd bottom at the time. The silver lining was that their win put Leeds right in the shit.

If memory serves me right, they had 5 shots on target and scored them all. Meanwhile Jordan Pickford had the sort of game that made you realise why he was England’s keeper.
