"Brilliant to see BritishfoodBCS more than double its exports to the Flag of United States – our largest single country trading partner. Government backing from @UKEF is helping them bring classic British food and drink to countries around the world. Trade = jobs"

Lovely tweet from Liz Truss. Trade does indeed equal jobs. Unfortunately the company has responded to the publicity by announcing it has suspended all exports to the EU.

Gods country fortnightly
Prodiced in Poland by a French/Dutch company.
What an achievement. Led to 170 workers in the UK losing their jobs. Well done.

Brexit in a nutshell and they're not even blue

Still Festival of Brexit to come, they'll be queuing up to be associated with it

I get the impression they're far more excited about the number of immigrants in Folkestone and inoculations in Frankfurt to try and bother to do that.

No no no, it had nothing to do with immigration, remember? Honest, guv.

Re Chicken Run ban. May I humbly suggest It would be better if a moderator making descions on who should recieve infractions leading to a ban on political/partisan threads didn't have a clear political bias and know one of the main protagonists on the thread in question... just a thought

Behave - I've caught up with some of this and the bloke does nothing but post stuff that it utterly irrelevant to the thread, so it's quite fitting.
I note bag'o shite is equally binned (for now) - that comes as no great surprise either, given his propensity to post....shite.
Amazed that nazi boy is still here, tbh.
At least you make a token effort (on occasion) to post something of worth, so don't waste your time fretting on the lost souls, unless you feel a bit uneasy without the backing band?

My goodness, I don't remember you being this upset when BigGully, Two Professors or Is It POTG? went missing in action. Obviously I've no idea, but if it was a Ban from the board and not a thread ban, maybe whatever he had been doing wasn't limited to a single thread.

Anyway back on topic, this may explain why the impact of Brexit has come as such a surprise

Labour suggests ministers failed to do analysis of Brexit deal

Emily Thornberry has accused the government of failing to carry out an economic impact assessment of Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal, after two key government departments told the shadow international trade secretary they had no such document.

But when Thornberry made a freedom of information request to the Cabinet Office, she was referred to the Treasury, which replied that it “does not hold a specific document meeting the terms of your request”. Johnson’s spokesperson had previously said the government would not be publishing its analysis of the economic impacts of the deal, but Thornberry has now written to Truss to ask whether the government failed to carry out an analysis at all.

“It appears not that the government is refusing to publish the economic impact assessment it has conducted in relation to the UK-EU deal, but that no economic impact assessment was ever produced,” she said in a letter seen by the Guardian.

I guess the question is whether an economic impact was undertaken and now hidden or whether one wasn't undertaken at all. Seems strange whichever it is

*edit*

I've just looked on the moderating forum and found this at the top of the forum.

Did anyone bring this up as a topic? What's the relevance to Brexit?

But, just so you understand I suggest you read Bozza's sticky again. We, as a collective moderating team have had enough of the personal trolling. Which the post for which CR was infracted was. However, an infraction is not a ban unless it adds on to lots of other infractions given by lots of other moderators. Which is what "totting up" is. Finally, FYI, when things were getting really stupid I issued an identical infraction to the person I know, as well he can confirm.

However, if you don't like the moderating you're free to take your custom elsewhere. Genuinely, no one will miss you.

Additionally this. Feel free to PM me if you want JCFG. I'm quite busy at the moment but I might get round to replying once I've finished stapling my balls to the kitchen table.
