It staggers me to hear the racist card still continually trotted out by ignorant people in the media this morning. I voted out because we simply don't have the infrastructure to support the influx of the equivalent of 4 Wembley Stadiums NET worth of people each year. We don't have the homes, hospitals, schools, doctors, transport systems and even jobs to support that. It is completely unsustainable. That in no way, shape or form makes me a racist. I fully believe anyone facing genuine persecution in their countries should be welcomed as any decent human being would..

Its strange though that a year ago we had an election where one party stood on a platform of austerity, and that party won, and now people are angry there isn't investment in our public services infrastructure. But hey, you won this year's vote. So can you please now make sure that there is investment in these things after all.

Bit late for that now, Trig
Not really. I was concerned before the vote. I was concerned that if we'd stayed we'd be part of a failing EU and that one day it would cost us, and I knew that if we left there would be a period of uncertainty. We might have a recession because of last night's vote, something I thought about before voting. But last night's vote will shape our country for the rest of my life, and I didn't want to base such a big decision on the short term consequences.

Lot of very bad losers on here today, with lots of abuse (divs, mongs, racists etc) but still some very funny posts,as well.Best one so far is from some idiot bewailing the fact he wouldn't be able to play his guitar in Europe now :lolol:
Wonder how the Beatles ever got to play in Hamburg?Mark you,he probably knows as little history as some of the other silly people on here!

Perhaps people gambled the countries future because they were sensitive to personal abuse on forums? Really?

It was not confined to forums. There has been an arrogance and contempt throughout the campaign from the Remain side. People have not gambled with the country's future, that is just your opinion not a fact. I can make a case for the gamble being to Remain but I wont because its pointless. This was simply a vote on two positive but opposite views of Britain's relationship with the EU. Sky have shown an interview with two prominent Remainers, Tim Farron and Boris Johnson's father. Mr Farron was coming out with all the bitter negativity while Johnson senior (who has worked for the EU and a prominent environmental campaigner) pointed out that there needs to be respect and positivity and he at least wants to focus his efforts on the coming negotiation and speaking for the issues that are important to him. Simply abusing people and disrespecting the result is pretty unedifying to watch.

If you can tell me the certain future, then it wont have been a gamble I guess..
