If there was a second Brexit referendum how would you vote?

I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say remain will win with close to 60% and thereby quash any potential future Brexit ramblings...

i guess that would be an issue for ukip supporters who were previously Lib Dem or Labour......not an insignificant number

True - but what prospects are there for UKIP to exist as anything other than a protest party? There would need to be a complete change in the party, including who it's elected representatives are, their key message (i.e. a move beyond populism), their branding, the whole shooting match. A protest party is going to massively struggle to have sufficiently wide appeal to gain a decent number of MPs in a FPTP system. If current UKIP supporters want to enact real change, then I think they need to change their party - either internally or by banding together with other disaffected MPs, councillors, etc. from at least one of the major parties, and the Tories seem like the most obvious fit.

Spain’s acting prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, has taken an unequivocal line on Brexit, warning earlier this month that a leave vote affect the hundreds of thousands of Britons who live in Spain and “would be very negative for everyone and from every perspective”.

Divorce from the EU, he stressed, would see British citizens forfeiting the rights to live and work across the continent.

BLOODY EMMIGRANTS GOING OVER THERE TAKING THEIR JOBS

and threats about Gibraltar
fake threats from the French about Calais
threats from Germany

what a wonderful bunch of friendly EU allies.

UKIP have never, ever been anything other than a protest party.

Indeed there are, millions of silent bremainers who never wanted nor saw the need for a referendum in the first place and have to waste our time going down to the polling station when we could be gardening, to counterbalance the shouty brexiters.
The brexiteers will walk through fire to vote, The remainers will be too busy posting pictures of cute cats on Facebook.[emoji4]

No - he'll start charging them commercial rates to use Spanish services, and health system, and refuse them permits to work.

You are starting to sound more hysterical with every statement.

Quite amusing though.
That's sounds a great idea, can we do that too. Maybe we could adopt a similar policy here.

European Commission boss Jean-Claude Juncker has warned the UK that "deserters won’t be welcomed back with open arms".

In hard-hitting comments, which have sparked accusations of intimidation among eurosceptics, he said the UK would "have to bear the consequences" if it voted to quit the 28-member bloc.

This swung it for me,not sure i want to be intimidated to stay with the bullies so its a out from me,pretty sure we are staying in though:moo:

That's pure bollocks. I've said from day 1 that I'd vote Remain. Later I'll walk to the polling station and vote Remain. Whatever the outcome, I'll happily declare I voted Remain, in a week or a year, or a decade's time - because given the weight of evidence before us, I feel it's the correct decision. That will never change, whatever the future throws at us.

True, you have been consistently wrong. IMHO of course.

Interesting - Sterling has gained nearly 10c in the past week - ie, around 7%. Those currency traders must know something....

They don't, except that the fusion of polls has a close but 'Remain' leaning vote. The undecided folk tend to go with the status quo in bulk so for the last few days the result has not really been in doubt.

A good day to buy shares in financial stock.

Me neither. It will be interesting to see what develops over the coming months, years. If people are hanging on to reform it isn't going to happen. The one chance we had would have been long gone.
